I wasn’t a big fan of them last year, most of them were bright yellow and orange! But they are quite cool to touch (so crispy and just like straw!) and I do have some pretty colours this year so I’m happy 😊

Another one of my new favourites this year!

I sowed a couple of varieties back in the spring because:
1. They look stunning.
2. They flower for a long period of time
3. They make a good cut flower and last well in a vase.

“Sahara mix” is the best of the bunch and I’m so glad I made a last minute decision to buy a pack.

What a beautiful day! ☀️

After some egg packing this morning, we got stuck into some of our garden jobs this afternoon! Including a BBQ!

I also picked these beauties after watering this evening! I’m Loving the Blues 💙 Nothing beats growing your own!

I do feel like I need to invest in a few more smaller vases!

🌱🌱🌱Ranunculus planted inside the shady greenhouse today. They did so well last year but someone stupidly planted foxgloves and sweet William in their spot! I’m hoping I won’t regret it! 🌱🌱🌱

Our first year at growing runner beans!

I thought I'd have a go at creating a bouquet with different heights to make it more "homegrown"... I may have watched a couple of youtubers as I have no qualifications or training in floristry!

This is being delivered to one of my friends tomorrow... Why grow flowers if you can't share them with people once in a while 😊

I kinda love this though ❤️ it has all the autumn feels.

My Dahlia patch is looking beautiful!!

It's the first year growing them for me, definitely a must have in any border!!

The sunflowers are coming on nicely too (what's left of the first batch!)
