// MR & MRS McILVENNA
There aren’t many venues that are quite as elegant as Belfast’s very own Merchant Hotel but I have never seen it look as beautiful as it did last Thursday. Charm Wedding Studio created the ceremony room of dreams for Suzanne and Roger’s big day.
However, I think the star of the show was clearly Suzanne in her stunning dress from White Gold Bridal. Doesn’t she look incredible?! 🙈 Closely followed by Roger, of course, who really was quite the gentleman! It felt like everyone in Belfast stopped to watch these newlyweds as they strutted through the streets of the Cathedral Quarter!
Huge congratulations to Mrs and Mrs McIlvenna on pulling off a truly epic wedding day and thank you so much for having me there to capture it all!
Delighted to have worked with such a great bunch of people 😁

// BEST MAN SPEECH GOALS
// BEST MAN SPEECH GOALS
🚨 Tear Jerker Alert
A best man's speech can be a real challenge for anyone who hasn't written one before. And when you spend as much time at weddings as I do I notice when a best man has either put in the effort to write a warm, heartfelt speech or when they’ve taken the easy route and searched Google for the same gags you hear at every other wedding.
On this occasion, Jamie, Matt’s best man, pulled out all the stops to write a truly fantastic speech. A speech that, not only told of many hilarious stories and gaffs from throughout their friendship, but also of just how much he cared and appreciated the opportunity of being by Matt’s side during such an important occasion.
This video is the last minute or so of Jamie’s speech, which I will admit had me in tears so if you’re in an emotional mood right now you may have to save this one for later… don’t say I didn’t warn you. 🙈😂

/ / REBECCA & MATT
Two incredible venues to have a fairytale wedding. Rebecca & Matt hosted their ceremony from the cutest ‘little’ church nestled in the Co. Down countryside, St. Mary's Church of Ireland before heading off to the astonishing Tullyveery House. My first time visiting Tullyveery House did not disappoint and allowed me to see just how incredibly hard the owners work to ensure the couples day goes without a hitch.
Also, when was the last time you saw boys in tailed suits? Matt and his groomsmen completely rocked the look, I’m sure you’ll agree they looked suave. However, without a doubt, Rebecca, wearing a stunning Ivory & Pearl Bridal Boutique dress, was the girl who stole the show on the day!
We wish Mr and Mrs Elt, and all their family and friends, the very best for the future. Thank you so much for having us there to capture your special day!

Belfast City Hall
// BELFAST CITY HALL...
... now a 'Grade A' listed building, started construction in 1888 with the original plans showing around three and a half years to finish the job. Built using Portland Stone shipped from Dorset at a cost of £369,000! That’s over £49,000,000 in today’s money according to the bank of England! Eight years later, a whopping four and a half years behind schedule, Belfast City Hall opened her doors on 1 August 1906.
Fun fact! There are two other buildings in the world that are close relatives to our beloved Belfast City Hall.
According to Wikipedia, the city hall in Durban, South Africa is almost an exact replica of Belfast's City Hall. It was built in 1910 and the designer was inspired by the Belfast design. The other building is the Port of Liverpool Building, completed in 1913, is another very close relative.
Here's some footage I captured at a recent wedding! 🤩
