// MR & MRS McAREAVEY It really is amazing just how small our wee country is. When Sarah contacted me at the start of 2022 I don’t think we realised just how overlapping our friend circles are. There aren’t many venues that are quite as elegant as Belfast’s very own Merchant Hotel but I have never seen it look as beautiful as it did last Thursday. Charm Wedding Studio created the ceremony room of dreams for Suzanne and Roger’s big day. However, I think the star of the show was clearly Suzanne in her stunning dress from White Gold Bridal. // SO HERE IT IS… The moment that, apparently, a lot of you have been waiting ever so patiently for 🙈 “Beyond excited for your video. We’ve had a ridiculous amount of people ask us for it it’s not normal lol” - Nicola McIvor I received a text from Nicola on Sunday saying that she and her friends and family couldn’t wait to see more footage from the wedding as looking back the whole day seemed like a blur! I have to say I completely relate to this. There are so many things going on on a wedding day that as a bride and groom you will miss or have completely forgotten about until you receive your photos or videos. Depending on which package you choose, there can be two of us there on your wedding day. Usually, one of us captures the moments that go on with the bride and groom and the other will blend in with your wedding guests capturing all the little moments that would have otherwise gone unseen. I had THE best time capturing this wedding for Mr and Mrs McIvor and have not stopped smiling throughout editing! //MR & MRS McKNIGHT One week on and I am still smiling from ear to ear thinking about Rebecca & Sam’s incredible wedding at the Old Rectory, Killyman. Everything about their day was personalised to them, they did things their way and not because tradition told them they had to do it another! I’m normally pretty good at holding back the tears during the emotional parts of the day, for me that’s usually during the ceremony and speeches, but on Sunday watching Sam’s reaction to seeing Rebecca walk down the aisle I couldn’t keep myself from letting the waterworks go. Such an emotional, loving and fun-filled day that I will forever be grateful to have been a part of. I will never look back and regret quitting my job to film weddings. // BEST MAN SPEECH GOALS 🚨 Tear Jerker Alert A best man's speech can be a real challenge for anyone who hasn't written one before. And when you spend as much time at weddings as I do I notice when a best man has either put in the effort to write a warm, heartfelt speech or when they’ve taken the easy route and searched Google for the same gags you hear at every other wedding. On this occasion, Jamie, Matt’s best man, pulled out all the stops to write a truly fantastic speech. A speech that, not only told of many hilarious stories and gaffs from throughout their friendship, but also of just how much he cared and appreciated the opportunity of being by Matt’s side during such an important occasion.
