It was our pleasure to share Lorna and Adam's special day, starting at Lorna's parents' beautiful home, where we had lots of laughs as the girls got ready, followed by the ceremony at the Providence Methodist Church, Golcar, conducted by the lovely Andrew. This was our first visit to this unusual building, where the church itself is upstairs. At the end of their marriage service we captured a big group photo and a hail of confetti on the steps and then we had to make the decision that due to the very strong winds, it would be best to photograph the family groups inside the church, which has a large open floor area, lots of space, tiered seating and plenty of natural light. The reception was held at Crosland Heath Golf Club, where Lorna's parents and grandma are regular players, and after the wedding breakfast and speeches we headed outside for a photo session with the new Mr and Mrs Savage. The light was soft and the wind had dropped and we had a lovely, relaxed time with this fabulous couple before the cake cut, first dance and party time. Congratulations to you both, thank you for booking us on the day when we first met you at a wedding fair last year and our sincere thanks for the pleasure of your company. X

We know that Caroline and Dan have been looking forward to this preview ahead of the presentation of their full set of images soon. They had a fabulous day celebrating their marriage at Waterton Park Hotel and got really lucky with great weather. The couple wanted to do a first touch before their ceremony and we were able to organise this for them with carefully worked out timings to allow for Dan to get back over the bridge in perfect time to meet with the registrar. We had a wonderful day with this gorgeous couple, who were very enthusiastic about their photographs, and that gives us so much joy. There was loads to capture, including their twin sons' ceremony entrance in a remote controlled car, their daughter who did an awesome job as flowergirl, the cake Dan's mum made, singing waiters, cold fireworks courtesy of Alicat Accessories and Events, a magician and a smoke gr***de finale. We were kept very happily busy! Congratulations to the new Mr and Mrs Render and huge thanks for booking us! X

Lauren and James chose Oulton Hall Hotel for their celebrations and it's a venue we love! We love the staff too - they're amazing - including the fabulous Ashleigh who took good care of everyone on the day. There is a lovely, warm atmosphere about Oulton Hall and we always feel so welcome, not to mention it's pretty good even if the weather isn't. Our second wedding in two days and once again we struck lucky with sunshine (better not say it was too sunny), which was incredible really, given that since then it's been more like autumn than summer. Lauren, James, their families, bridal party and guests were amazing! The couple never stopped smiling and the joy on their faces and their enthusiasm for their wedding day and their photographs was a delight, as was their obvious love for each other. Not only did they have the perfect day, we did too. Thanks go to Oliver Mitchell, who filmed this beautiful wedding, for being brilliant to work with, as always, and for being an all round nice, helpful guy. The biggest thanks though go to the fabulous Mr and Mrs Vincent for booking us. Congratulations guys! X

We love it when clients return for us to capture the most important milestones in their lives. We photographed Charlotte and Ryan's wedding last year and they have become friends, so we were over the moon to hear that they are to be new parents. It was a pleasure to welcome them back to our studio for a maternity portrait session to celebrate this special time in their lives before their little one arrives. We can't wait to see them again when this beautiful couple become a family of three, and meet their precious new addition, who we know will be cherished beyond words. X

We had our first visit to the spectacular Walton View Hotel for the wedding celebrations of Amanda and Cornelius, who enjoyed a day of sunshine, one of very few so far this "summer". It really was a scorcher! We had a fabulous time with this wonderful, fun and friendly couple and they told us afterwards that they wouldn't change a thing and wished they could do it all again. We were very impressed with Reece, the venue's wedding coordinator, who, along with his staff, made us feel so welcome. He really did go out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for Amanda, Cornelius and their guests. He allowed us plenty of time for before dinner photographs, making it more relaxed for everyone, he made time to come and chat with us and keep us informed of everything we needed to know throughout the day, and he even made sure that the bar area was clear and tidy during a lull so that we use it as a background and quickly capture a few portraits of the new Mr and Mrs Price before the guests returned for drinks. Thank you Reece, you were fab! Huge congratulations and sincere thanks to Amanda and Cornelius for the pleasure of your company! PS Better give a quick mention to Cornelius's pride and joy - apart from Amanda - his lorry 🙂 X

We had the most wonderful day with Maryjo and Dominic, as they married at St Joseph & St Theresa's RC Church, Woodlands, Doncaster, and celebrated afterwards at Waterton Park Hotel with their families and friends, many of whom had travelled from Ireland to share this gorgeous couple's big day. Amongst the guests were Kristian and Matthew, whose wedding we photographed last year, and who were so kind as to recommend us to Maryjo and Dominic, who were guests at their wedding. It was so lovely to see them again, and Kristian's groomsmaid, Bridie. The weather tormented us a bit shortly after we arrived at the church and this meant a dash to the car for waterproof coats, but soon after that it stopped, thankfully, and stayed dry all day. Maryjo made the most stunning bride - the picture of absolute elegance. Everyone enjoyed listening to the beautiful singing voice of Jill Ryder, there was a massive volley of confetti after the ceremony - we'd already chatted with Maryjo about what kind would look great in the photos - and afterwards a very prompt arrival at Waterton Park Hotel, which meant more time for the drinks reception and photographs before dinner. Huge thanks to Maryjo's sisters, Catherine and Oonagh, for being awesome guest gatherers during the group photo session. Congratulations Mr and Mrs McGough and our sincere thanks to this loveliest of couples for the privilege of being your wedding photographers! X

Valentina and Stephen are looking forward to seeing their preview images and we are very excited to share with this gorgeous couple just a few of our favourites from their beautiful wedding day at St Mary's church, Whitkirk and Oulton Hall Hotel. It was a day full of joy and laughter in the company of a great crowd, including Valentina's Italian family. The vicar was lovely and so accommodating, there was a very cute ring bearer, we had decent weather, although a bit on the windy side, and in the evening we had the chance to get creative with the new Mr and Mrs Howe and some vibrant orange smoke gr***des. We are really happy with the resulting images and thanks go to our two amazing helpers, whose assistance was invaluable to achieve the results we wanted. Love it when a plan comes together just as we imagined it! Congratulations and thank you so much guys for choosing us and for the pleasure of your company! X

Laura and Daniel struck very lucky with the most beautiful weather for their celebrations at Rogerthorpe Manor Hotel, and for a little while, it felt like summer had finally arrived. Everything was perfect - the beautiful florals supplied by Mel from Passion Flowers Wedding & Event Florist's, venue dressing by Bijou Venue Styling, Laura's gorgeous dress, a lovely, emotional ceremony, and the best support act we could have wished for in the form of bridesmaid, Jaye, who stood no nonsense, made sure we had who we needed when it came to the group photos and removed everyone we didn't need when it came to the couple's twilight portraits and final images, which will make the spectacular closing chapter of their wedding album. Mr and Mrs Wheatley, a huge thank you for choosing us to capture your special day! X

We had a fabulous day in the company of Savannah and David, who tied the knot at the pictureque All Saints' Church in Bramham, followed by a reception at Hazlewood Castle. The weather was typical of April, with wind, rain and sunshine, but we were made up when we arrived at Hazlewood Castle to see the cherry blossom in full, spectacular and perfect bloom. We've photographed weddings at Hazlewood Castle for many years, but it's rare that we get so lucky, as the blossom often succumbs to the wind and doesn't last long.
