What a beautiful day we have today. Lots going on in today's show as I'm not here for next week's show, so the Tuesday Teaser is a little topical today. We have the number one hour, from midday until 1pm. For those who don't know, it's number ones from this day back over the years, played in the last hour of the show. We also have some festival and concert news, info on local feast week's. We also have two weeks of birthdays and national awareness days to announce, the show is packed even more than ever, and I haven't even mentioned anything about the great music we'll be playing too!

So get your deckchairs out, and whether you're down the beach or in the garden, at home because the rail strike is on, or out at work. Get the radio out, the pc on, the phone or your smart speaker tuned in from 10am. It's going to be a cracking show, you kknow it makes sense. 105.6fm in and around St Austell, or online at www.rsab.org

Good show yesterday, played some very varied cracking tunes. Next Tuesday join me 10am - 1pm for all your favourites, don't forget to text in for a request too!

How utterly disappointing! I started feeling unwell last Tuesday from what seemed to be flu like symptoms. Thankfully after some covid tests I'm negative, so not covid. I do have however head cold symptoms and am feeling very unwell, so just when I was looking to start back this Tuesday, the lurgy has got hold of me, and I'll have to postpone my return by another week! Sorry if you were looking forward to me getting back in the seat, but I'll make sure we have a cracking show when I return. All have an amazing week and enjoy the sunshine! Remember keep RSAB tuned in.

So, as you will know by now, I'll be back soon, so I'm looking for your views about the show. What features would you like to see in the show? Maybe some local info, or interests/places to visit. Perhaps you belong to a local group or society that you would like to share with our listeners.

What requests would you like played over the next few weeks?
Perhaps it's one you haven't heard for a long time. Maybe a song that relives a memory for you that we could mention.

Do you have any birthdays, anniversaries weddings or special events coming up soon and you'd like to dedicate a mention and a track to it (don't forget to include names and dates, you can private message me those through the FB page). Or do you just have a favourite record you love to hear, no matter how popular it is. Let me know. I can't guarantee I can sort everything, but I'll try my best to!

Get your thinking caps on! Back soon

24/12/2021

Well it's been a while since I have posted on here, but then I did have my first operation at the end of March! It's been a long 9 months, but health wise, I'm starting to get back to my normal (perhaps normal isn't the word most people use! Lol) self. So hopefully I'll be back in the DJ seat in 2022. Have a very merry Christmas and a great New Year. Stay safe, stay well and enjoy while we all can.

26/04/2021

Good evening listeners, sorry I've been quiet for a while, but I've had some surgery and I'm recovering well. I was hoping it wouldn't take too long but looks likely it'll be at least another 6 weeks before I'm able to return to your airwaves! I'm hoping you're all safe and well and enjoying this gorgeous weather we are having, although the possible showers over the next few days will do my garden the world of good. I'm not able to go out and sort it as yet unfortunately. When I'm back though we'll be doing the Topical Triple, so keep those thinking caps to hand! Cheers and gone, CC

30/03/2021

Really sorry listeners but I will miss this Wednesdays show as an unexpected hospitalisation! As soon as I'm better, I'll be back! (Arnie style! πŸ˜‰)

Cheers and gone to get well soon, CC

25/03/2021

Well it's been a busy 24 hours, so I've just got on to thank everyone for listening yesterday. Remember to look on over the weekend to see what the Topical Triple will be next week. Have a great weekend.
Cheers and gone, CC

21/03/2021

If you're a fan of history and especially ancestry, then today is hugely important as it's Census 2021 Day! Please remember to go on today and take part, if you haven't already. See census.gov.uk to participate. Heligan Gardens are waiting for the release of the 1921 census to see more details on the gardeners of the gardens who went away to war, and their families. Unfortunately they think only so many came back, so this is why this census is so important to them. This years census is actually an online version, but for those who aren't able to participate online, there are local census centres to attend. The best thing about this being online is that a lot of the previous census's were handwritten and it made it hard to read everyone's details correctly, so many mistakes can be made from them. So this week's Topical Triple is a little obvious, yes it's Census 2021!
So what can you find out from a census? Well, firstly you may find out Grandparents, Husbands, Wives, Sisters and Brothers, well any related family really. Then there's accommodation, ie. house, flat, etc. Also there's the occupations of the general public. With all of these to go on, it should give you plenty of scope to suggest ideas for our Topical Triple. Perhaps it's a group or artist, my suggestion would be The Allman Brothers Band, or maybe a song title, my suggestion would be Father Figure by George Michael. There's two for you, it's now up to you, get your thinking caps on and listen in on Wednesday from 10am!
Cheers and gone, CC
