Galleywood Heritage Centre tearoom opening days this week. Slightly earlier opening & closing times during winter period.
Tuesday 19th Nov 12:30pm to 3:30pm
Thursday 21st Nov 12:30pm to 3:30pm

Friday 22nd 10am to 2pm

We are also open Sunday 24th November for our Christmas Market. 11am to 4pm.
Santa will be in his grotto until 3pm £4 includes small gift and you are allowed to take photo.
We will also have mulled wine, Baileys hot chocolate, mince pies along with our usual homemade cakes and hot food.
Please come along and support us and local makers

Remembrance exhibition today Sunday 17th November at the Galleywood Heritage Centre CM2 8TR with special visitor. Open now until 3:30pm Pop along and read up on the local history of the world wars. Tearoom is open until 4pm so don’t sit home bored. I know lots of children are currently learning about the wars so they may be interested too

Message from Susan Wilson

At Galleywood Heritage Centre we are getting ready for the Remembrance Exhibition on Sunday 17th November. In the Heritage room there is a display about the "Home Front" in Galleywood. The photos below show our poster display board commemorating the fallen of Galleywood in various conflicts. This stand will be in Galleywood Library on Friday 8th ( 9am to 5.30pm) and On Saturday 9th 9am till around 4.30pm. It will then be in the Keene Hall on Monday 11th November for the Remembrance Day Service. Then back to the Heritage Centre!

What a great night on Friday at the fundraising Racenight 🐴 Bringing horse racing back to the old Chelmsford racecourse.I really wish I had taken some video but was enjoying myself so much.
Jacket potatoes supper was delicious thanks to Ian Eary, Marie & Wendy for catering and Jean Blake for serving up and manning hot drinks etc..
Thank you to Richard Hyland for being compère and dodgy Dave on the tote 🤣
& Phil for setting up including bunting.

Finally a big thank you 🎉to all 74 people that supported this event, we really do appreciate it. We try to put on good events, so thank you to everyone who supports all of our fundraising events it makes a big contribution in keeping the charity financially viable.

After many requests we have decided to go ahead with children Halloween event this year.
Pumpkin hunt in the garden, Glitter tattoos, indoor trick or treat, Photo prop, music.

Please book tickets as soon as possible as we sold out quickly last year.
