Last weekends pop up shop!

It was suuuuper busy! I had predicted that a few more people than usual due to the children’s holidays but a queue round the corner!?!

We had gooey scotch eggs, sage and caramelised onion chutney sausage rolls, bright green goddess salad, the kale and sweet potato feta salad, sweet treats galore including a last minute batch of brownies that were brought out after the first hour of madness! So many frozen meals, a freezer full to the brim of homemade high quality meals! Amazing cheeses and a great stock of preordered - fresh as possible - fish from Billingsgate!

Most of all, so wonderful to see you all and welcome you back in to the shop! Almost nostalgic at the point 😂 (for those new to unfamiliar, back during Covid I opened my shop every weekend!).

I am very grateful and please know that I get so much joy out of cooking for you all ⭐️🥰

Next to expect from me; the xmas menu is coming along verrrrry soon!

Frozen Meals

My freezer is currently completely empty. So I am planning restocking the following!

- Aubergine Parmigiana
- Chicken, leek and bacon pies
- Slow braised ragu lasagne
- Fish pies

I am currently writing my Xmas menu which is taking a long time to curate but fingers crossed I can shed more light on it on the day of the shop!

You really do all come rain or shine!

I was admittedly a little nervous last week, the weather reports were far from cheerful. Although we arrived in rain, the sun did come and most importantly - so did all of you!

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our stall. is a really fantastic, bustling farmers market to be a part of. I get so much joy from creating the menus, cooking the frozen meals and cooking and baking the on-the-top goods!

However most of all, I love to see you all! To meet new people, catch up with my regulars and meet those who watch my instagram or see my posts and come to say hi!

I am so looking forward to the next and final market of the year on Saturday the 9th of November! It is my favourite as it’s the XMAS special and I am a HUGE fan of all things Christmassy! Best believe the stall will be stocked and loaded of Christmas inspired yumminess!!!

Slow roasted lamb shoulder with anchovies, fresh rosemary, cherry tomatoes and heaps of garlic. Into this melting shredding deliciousness. The ultimate back up of humble vegetables lifted into delicious colourful, textured salads. Alongside homemade pitta breads (60 individually lovingly shaped, rolled and pan fried in Lilly’s kitchen), alongside homemade dips and sauces.

My particular favourites of this spread was the anchoiade sauce that mentally boomeranged me back to watching the great making it for a demo at . So delicious, a forgotten recipe that should be in everyone’s condiment library. Also to mention the curried yoghurt roasted aubergines and bright pomegranate seeds. A crowd favourite - YUM.

It was a hot hot hot day. Working in an Aga equipped kitchen, Neve and I were kept cool by this delish soft serve ice cream topped up by the wonderful hosts children.

For me, my moment of the night was when a guest came and found us in the kitchen because he recognised my food from his parent’s party last year. In his words ‘he saw the food and knew I was near’ 😅Considering it was a different menu too. It was the cherry on top of another fab event 🍒🍒

Across the Summer, I’ve managed to fit in some packaged, picked up catering.

Although I loooove the look of my food on beautiful plates and platters. Sometimes it’s the practical packaging you need! I have a good range of biodegradable, recyclable packaging. These platters It can be stacked in your domestic fridge and also great to travel in your car - no need to compromise on presentation.

Throwback to Royal Ascot week! 🐎🏇🏻

This was my fourth year cooking for all of our lovely guests! For me, Ascot week is an absolute whopper of a job - feeding 320 guests over four days from 9am until 9pm! Sourcing, prepping, packaging and decorating a huge buffet of large sirloins of local beef, local smoked ham carved to order, coronation roast chicken, various salads. For dessert: 320 individual meringues, 320 individual chocolate tarts, boxes of homemade shortbread, cheeseboards and of course hot sausages for the coach journey home.

The final morning of ascot 2024, I had the time to get my camera out; dad and my exhausted face! plus the wonderful Red and Louise.

There are many faces not shown, including a cracking kitchen team and washing up crew helping to bring everything together, inc my lovely cousin ._.steele who came and helped for the whole week!

The visual representation of tackling the mountain of ascot jobs is the shortbread baking and boxing that took over my kitchen!

All in all a successful week and wonderful guests to look after!

I’m currently slowing down from what has been the busiest summer EVER in the kitchen!

This time away from the kitchen provides space to reflect on what an incredible, stressful but fantastic Summer I’ve had.

In late May this year I did my first wedding - 120 guests! Homemade/Middle Eastern/Ottolenghi were the key themes.
Homemade hummus, butternut, pea and mint dips to start with crudités and pitta, main course included huge shoulders of harissa and honey local lamb, locally sourced chicken thighs, tahini and lime dressed spiced heads of cauliflower, saffron and barberry Persian rice, big bountiful colourful salads and a huge dessert selection (9 different desserts). It was a fabulous occasion for a wonderful couple who just happen to be great friends too!

I have little to no pictures available apart from the following. The pictures I have hidden in my drafts are so ridiculous but show how much the desserts were enjoyed… scraps of vanilla cheesecake and gooey Bakewell tart. I instead I am relying on your imagination…. 💕💕

Hello everyone!

I’m doing a pop up shop next Saturday the 13th of July!

It’s been a very busy Summer in the kitchen but it’s about time I make some more frozen meals and open my shop! 🤩

I’m even going to get some cheese in! Cornish crunch - it’s been far too long!

Dreaming of this deliciously hazy summers day…🌞🍴

I can hardly believe that two weeks ago it was this sunny 🌸 I had the pleasure of cooking for some lovely clients for two large yummy buffets.

Just some of the plates served on to the buffet table…

- Pesto chicken with homemade pesto, fresh basil and pine nuts
