It’s easy to forget after the days of gloom and fog (which I also enjoy) how it feels to be warm under the sun, but pictures like this bring it all back.

While capturing candid photographs of people on their wedding day – their guests, family, and friends – I also take a moment to view things from the couple's perspective.
To capture a few of the scenes they themselves would see, the views as they might experience them, rather than simply just photographing how we, as observers, see them and their day.
The corridors and staircases, the view from the window in the room where they are getting ready....
This is why I always say there is no need to tidy up for photos. I like things the way they just are.

My documentary style focuses on capturing candid, unstaged moments. That said, many of my couples like to set aside a little time for relaxed portraits, and I always ensure this feels easy and natural, with minimal interruption to the celebrations.

Caroline stepped into the Light Oak Room at Leez Priory to adjust her veil, and the autumn light was simply perfect. Sam joined her there, and they shared a quiet moment for a quick photograph before returning to the laughter and joy in the bar.

At St Ethelburga's Centre for Reconciliation and Peace, one of the early arrivals at the wedding sits on the bench, waiting for the other guests to arrive and for the ceremony to begin.

There is quite a view when you look up from here, from the 800-year-old church grounds, surrounded by the modern towers of Bishopsgate.
And so much history.

On a chilly mid-winter day, I’m remembering warmer days. In the sunshine, wedding guests are enjoying cocktails, Spanish-marinated olives, bread, and patatas bravas canapés at Jack and Alyssa's wedding.

The sun had set, I was squidged up with the lovely Lù and Antonia in the back of a surprisingly fast Piaggio Ape... racing through the streets of Agropoli.

I had the pleasure of photographing Victoria’s sister’s wedding a few years ago, so I was thrilled to be asked to capture her own special day with George. It was a delightful chance to reconnect with the warm and welcoming family, and I was even excited to see the familiar faces of their beloved dogs.

The wedding was an elegant and picturesque affair, with the ceremony taking place at the church in Heydon. Drinks were served by the lake, and a marquee was set up in a flower-filled meadow for dinner and dancing.
