Expect a non stop MAD hour of fun, as Phil the Elf, who has been asked to stand in from Grandpa Elf at the last minute, shows the children round the annual Elf workshop tour whilst trying to make sure nothing goes wrong!

Competition results!

I’ve tallied up all the votes and we have:
4th place Dunalley Primary School Dunalley Primary School PTFA with 9 votes
3rd place Greatfield Park School with 22 votes
2nd place Lakeside PTA with 53 votes
🏅1st place Woodmancote School PTA with 63 votes

This means Woodmancote gets the prize for most votes!
I then numbered all the votes and picked a number at random to choose the random winner too, and that came out as Woodmancote haha, so I re-picked (which I’m sure Woodmancote would have wanted) and…Lakeside won!

We’ve also thrown one in for Greatfield as they are one form entry unlike the other finalists, and also Dunalley, did you know your school is literally right next door to the 12th Dec Showing? I’ve thrown in a family ticket just for that showing for you too. So all top four voting schools get a prize in the end.

If someone from Lakeside/Woodmancote/Dunalley PTA gets in touch I’ll email you a voucher, otherwise I will get in touch via the schools main email addresses next week.

Elf updates!

Both Dunkertons 21st dates are nearly fully booked 😯 so we have squeeeeezed in another Dunkerton’s date before a day of parties, into 14th Dec morning at 9:30am. Its not up on the website yet so you’ll have to wait to get tickets, but we wanted to let you know asap as tickets are non transferable once bought!

In other updates, we’re on elf suit number two, elf ears number two, getting a residual glittery glow coming into the house, munching on candy canes 24/7 and getting pumped for November when Elf hyper focus begins and we go deep into character to finish writing the show. Gingerbread anyone? 😂

Olivia is now a fully fledged UV PARTY entertainer!! We were sooooo proud of her at her practice party this week, it was BRILLIANT!

All UV parties only available at Leisure at Cheltenham. One hour non stop UV fun, followed by 45 mins in the food room. Cost £175 for entertainer and room hire; food cost additional, starting at £5 per child. Only a couple of slots left for Nov and Dec!

Phil has been fully booked for the 2024 weekends for a while, and I can see 2025 filling up fast. I’ve been trying to think of what we can do to increase capacity and I did have a little brain wave one day last week -
Phil PLUS venue days!
This means instead of doing two parties a day, he can do three, and we get to say yes to more of you!
Plus, hiring a venue can be a faff, so that’s all done for you, and we’ll absorb a bit of the cost so you save a little bit too. Phil is very handy with a sweep and plans to help you tidy up however you need. He will have the chairs and tables all set up when you arrive so it’s just a case of un packing whatever your food option is into the kitchen and putting up a decoration of your choice if you wanted.

We’ve gone ahead and booked some rooms as between Phil’s diary and the Zumba/yoga classes in the village halls of Cheltenham there were hardly many dates left!

We’ve booked:

25th January 2025 at Emmanuel Church Meeting Room, Cheltenham, GL53 7PJ

1st March 2025 at The Reddings Community Centre, GL51 6RF

22nd March 2025 at Emmanuel Church Meeting Room, Cheltenham

3rd May 2025 at The Reddings Community Centre

And they will all be available for 10-12, 12:30-2:30 and 3-5pm parties! You will have 10ish mins to tidy away and 20ish mins to set up.

Story explorers!

Story explorers has long been one of our favourite things, that place where we get to know people and remember we’re all in it together with this parenting lark, and of course where we get to see all the sweet kids dancing and singing, and watch them grow and develop over the months and years. It’s been the best.

But we’ve long known it’s not really viable due to the amount of time it takes us to write and prepare etc, and just absolute hats off to anyone who is making their living from toddler classes! Last session is 23rd October.

Thanks so much to everyone who’s been a regular over the years, you’re all the reason we didn’t stop it sooner, you’re all so lovely and thank you for coming along.

Thanks so much to , it has been the most fun to be part of your NB family. Jared and Sarah also run MUSICAL EXPLORERS, for age 7 months - 2 years Weds at 9:30am, which we highly recommend checking out if you’ve got a Story Explorers gap in your life!

Also thanks so much to , it’s been so fun watching you get your amazing venue established and to have been there since day 1. We love it there (and recommend it to anyone looking for a party venue too!)

Finally, we will do the odd story explorers pop up at Dunkertons, the next one is next Tuesday and I think tickets are pretty much sold out, but we will put more dates in for 2025.

Now…to focus more time on….writing the greatest Elf show known to man! It‘s going so well so far and as Phil’s wife I’m actually surprised how brilliant it’s turning out. 😂 Might be a repeat of the profit problems from story ex haha since we are spending over £1k on magic tricks for it this week alone 😂😂 this is where creatives and business don’t mix 😂 but we’re having FUN!!!!! 🍭 🎄 🍭🎄🍭

FREE PARTY ALERT!! (Read on for details!)

We are thrilled to introduce you to the lovely OLIVIA, who is joining Roxy on our UV team, providing epic UV parties at Leisure at Cheltenham!

We need your help! Olivia needs some birthday guests to give a fantastic dress rehearsal of the party to.

How it works:
Tomorrow night (Friday) I will put the details for any people who fit the bill in a hat and pick a winner and runner up (in case winner turns out not to be able to do it or doesn’t reply).
If you want to be entered please comment and confirm that you have a child with a birthday that you would like to celebrate, that they are turning 5 or 6 and that you are available 23rd Oct after school!
Otherwise feel free to tag a friend who might be interested in a free birthday party!
I’ll have this on Facebook and Instagram but only one party to give out.
No food will be available, just the hour of entertainment.

Our parties:
One action packed hour of UV dress up, UV face paint spots, UV crazy games with props and UV magic show and puppet. Usually this is then followed by 45 mins in the Leisure at Chelt food room, but for this party the children will have a heap of fun then go home for tea!

Story Explorers!
What a fun fishy week we had! 🐠

We’re quiet on the gram as we are so busy getting everything ready behind the scenes, super exciting!
In the next few weeks we are getting a new UV entertainer set up to cover Roxy’s one weekend off a month to increase capacity as it’s so full; getting a whole new magic and bubbles entertainer set up; and of course….CHRISTMASSSSSSS - we’re planning something AMAZING for this year, which we can’t wait to go live with in the next few days!
