An extreme close up of my poor Sparkles on the few rare occasions they’ve heard that another pack of strands has had a bad review for ‘not staying in hair well’.
Why the shock and horror? Because…
💪🏻 They know that in the land of Hair Sparkles there is no such thing as a dodgy, rogue batch that somehow manage to untie themselves and slither out of someone’s hair.
💪🏻 They know that every pack to leave Sparkle HQ does so with the best intentions, full of excited anticipation to be tied securely to their ‘hair partner for life’, and to remain there in blissful sparkly union until the exogen phase of the hair’s cycle means that the hair and sparkle shed together, still bonded for eternity.

The oldest part of Sparkle HQ - the part I see clients in - dates from 1650. NATURALLY it’s a wee bit haunted, but in a very nice way. When we moved here the survey actually referred to a resident ghosty, but we’ve never encountered him. What we HAVE experienced is rather more vague; a ‘feeling’ or the odd tingling sensation. There appears to be something that makes the dogs go a bit wonky but only ever on evenings when hubby is away for work 😳 - they scratch at the door, zoom out when I go to check on them and refuse to return. And the room is always a bit on the chilly side when this happens… ooer! I’d love any of my more ‘intuitive’ clients to give a bit of feedback - I’m intrigued!! 👻

I’ve had a few messages from people recently asking if my Sparkles are ‘the silk ones’. This question always fills me with a mixture of despair and excitement - despair that people have been led to believe it’s actually a thing, excitement at the opportunity to educate and inform. So, for anyone still wondering, ‘Silk’ hair tinsel doesn’t exist and anyone claiming to use or sell it is DODGY! (Or, at best, misled by someone else dodgy).

A graph showing my ‘Christmas rush’ growth over the years! 🎄📈
In my first Sparkle Season I had 33 booked clients and did 7 events. In 2018 I had 60 clients and attended 15 events. The following year it jumped to 96 clients and 23 events and in 2020 I sparkled 156 heads and went to 4 events (Covid!). In 2021 I had 161 clients book in and sparkled at 7 events and last year I had 173 clients and did 5 events (4 Sparkle parties and 1 crazy busy school fair!)

A few things to note:

✨ The ‘rush’ actually starts much sooner (I thought illustrating a month was neater)
✨ I did no paid advertising, it was all word of mouth, social media and posting on local FB groups
✨ ‘Events’ could be anything from gatherings and parties at people’s houses to salon days or Christmas Markets/Fairs. I have wound these down over the last couple of years as the retail side of my business has taken up more time
✨ I started with no pre-existing client base

Christmas is easily the busiest time of year for Sparkles, but by no means the ONLY time! So this is a snapshot to illustrate why getting started NOW will bring instant rewards and could be the start of a nice little earner whether you’re a salon or a side-hustler. And - gentle reminder - the training course (compete with all the kit you need) is £50 off until the end of October!! 💫

Wun designed the 4 layers of the human body for his haute couture FW24 show. The fourth layer and closing look, ‘The Soul’, glistens with 97,000 Swarovski crystals. The Soul Gown is a tribute to the Milky Way and production took 1430 hours of work. We are the official Hair Sparkles® (hair tinsel) product and service professional providers and suppliers, also offering ethically-sourced hair feathers and bio-glitter products and services.

Our products are professional, salon quality and are available to purchase to try at home or as a salon service - we also offer all the tools and training you will require to add this popular treatment to your existing service menu.

Private appointments are available for our clients either at our base in Gotherington or on a mobile basis. We also attend various events, markets and shows and offer party packages for both adults and children.

Our Hair Sparkles are mess-free, damage-free and long-lasting and can even be washed/blow-dried/styled. Our top quality feathers are carefully and ethically sourced and we only use bio-glitter for our glitter tattoos and festival face glitter bars.
