You have only two weeks left to secure your entry to the 2025 Tour of Portugal Adventure Rally!

Together with our partners Portugal Offroad, we have prepared for our members a massive roadbook adventure that’s not to be missed!

For 2025 we head to a new upgraded luxury bivouac venue, from where we will run a prologue stage of around 100km, followed by four full days of around 250km plus an extra long ‘marathon’ stage, a vast majority of which are off-road tracks.

There will be the choice of two classes to enter, Adventure Class which offers easier terrain for the bigger bikes, and Rally Class for those who want more of a challenge both with navigation and terrain, suitable for rally bikes and enduros.

Come and join us on this all new, digital roadbook based ‘Discovery Rally’, where you can enjoy navigating a 100% tarmac, scenic route of the best riding roads in the Cotswolds.

Starting at the Northleach Old Prison Cafe, Cheltenham, this event is open to all abilities and skill level and tailored for bigger bike adventure riders who are looking to try something new.

The Discovery Rally Cotswolds is a day dedicated to those who aren’t so keen on the muddy stuff! No knobblies required, just a thirst for adventure!

The day will start with a training session in the comfort of the Old Prison Cafe, where we will run you through the basics of roadbook navigation using the digital app, showing you everything you need to know to ride the route.

The route will to be roughly 100km of backroads, twisties, great curves and epic views, offering a fun and scenic day on the bike.

This is a fantastic opportunity for newcomers to come and see what it’s all about, to learn how to roadbook and to have a great ride out with like minded people.

RallyMoto will have digital roadbooks for hire on this event.

Dear RallyMoto Riders,

It is with massive disappointment that I have to tell you the Wales 500 2025 will not be able to run.

We have been informed that due to extensive storm damage and in particular a large number of felled trees, that it is not possible for us to hold the event and use the Forests in March 2025.

We are not the only events organisation that has had to cancel events due to the storm damage.

We will do our best to offer an alternative event in Wales, but we will not be able to use any sections of Forestry Tracks and we will work Natural Resources Wales (NRW) to set a date for the Wales 500 in 2026.

Thank you for your recent application for the event proposal in March 2025.

I regret that, on this occasion, we are unable to facilitate your event across the WGWE, within the Mid Wales region.

We are unable to offer you and your participants , including the preparation of such an event, safe passage across the estate at this time.

This is due to a number of factors, whilst not an exhaustive list includes' the recent impact following storm Darragh and current resources available in our Mid Wales Land Management teams.

We will be undertaking ongoing forest operations in all forests across our area for a considerable period and will be limiting or closing access in these areas, whilst we clear and assess storm damage areas and restore the forest to enable our communities and stakeholders safe enjoyable access for the future.

I have considered your application carefully and acknowledge this response will be disappointing.

On balance I do not wish to enable any such event without having assurances of our due diligence to ensure you safe passage to host your event this year.

Happy New Years everyone!

Thanks to Dave Campbell for sharing these beautiful shots from his Ice Breaker adventures in the Peaks, North Yorkshire Moors, and Thetford featuring a stunning sunrise, a smattering of snow and some good ol' sand!

Just one month into the challenge and there has been an incredible 117 routes already completed by 84 riders, plus the first hoodie is in the bag! Congratulations to Paul Evans for finishing all 6 routes and becoming the first 'Ice Man Yeti'!

Wales 500 2025 Update
RallyMoto is currently in negotiations with Forestry Wales (NRW) and the ACU about permissions for 2025.
After having permission for the Wales 500 2 withdrawn last year due to speed issues, which had a massive cost implication on RallyMoto, we are currently proposing the Wales 500 runs with additional speed restrictions for all riders on the Forestry sections of the course.
The events will become focussed on much tougher navigation for riders and adherence to speeds in specific speed zones.
Therefore the event can be open to all types of bikes ADVENTURE, RALLY and ENDURO.
We are working on a series of events under these new parameters for the event, which include Wales 500, Kielder 500 and Dark Skies, which may be a new version of the RallyMoto Cup.
With improvements in our GPS tracking system we are able to monitor speed over the entire course and run speed checks on course, this is turning out to be a workable long term solution for all our events.
The RallyMoto Team and myself are working extremely hard to make this all work - this is an ongoing situation, please support us.

Be the first to find out when entries open for the two most anticipated Adventure Rallies of 2025. Both events will now run under a new format, geared more for Adventure Riders with some proper navigational challenges in Adventure Rally Class, and a much more relaxed, intro level class for roadbook beginners and offroad novices with the all new Tour Class.

Well it's not even been three weeks since the Ice Breaker Challenged opened up and already over fifty riders have been out on the trails completing the roadbook routes on offer!

Congratulations to Paul Evans for being the first rider to complete three routes, and therefore completing the challenge! Will he continue on and go for the Ice Man Yeti award? (Complete all six routes).

So far the Peaks and the Cotswolds routes have been the most popular, followed by Thetford and the Chilterns. Not many have attempted Salisbury Plain, but this may be for good reason! The rain on the plain has left it in quite a state!

Thankyou to Fraser Dean for sharing these photos from his day out on Salisbury. Great effort in tough conditions.

Fantastic results so far and it's only early days! Keep it going all!

The Hertford Adventure Rally Raid will be the first ‘In person’ event of 2025 and is open for entries via the website. This event will run on Jan 19th and is a great day out for beginners and old schoolers alike.

The Challenge is On!

It's day three of the Ice Breaker Challenge and already riders have been braving the weather and completing routes!

"IBC Cotswolds done today. Very good and interesting route. The weather at the start was absolutely shocking, so that made the trails on the stone interesting, but then the brightness came and happy days.

There are around 200 riders signed up to this edition of the Ice Breaker Challenge and with six routes on offer and some challenging navigation, it should make for an interesting league table!

This event sold out fast and it was great to have a such a big turnout with so many new smiling faces.

We’ve just run the Dark Skies Rally which involves roadbooking in complete darkness in the middle of the forest, and we’ll shortly be opening the Ice Breaker Challenge which involves multiple roadbook routes throughout the UK to ride during the winter. Remember back in 2020 when we first launched the Ice Breaker Challenge? It had been a tough year, and riders were desperate to get out and have an adventure, so we created a number of roadbook routes throughout the UK, printed out the roadbooks and mailed them, along with the tupperware roadbook holders, out to our members so they could spend the winter on the trails enjoying a navigation adventure. Logistically it was an organisational nightmare, as every roadbook amend meant rewriting, reprinting and reposting the roadbooks out to riders. However, the event was so well received that we are now preparing for our fifth year of the Ice Breaker Challenge! Thankfully, the development of our very own roadbook app means that route updates and amends are much more straightforward, results are generated quickly, and riders need very little equipment to take part. The Ice Breaker Challenge 2025 kicks off on December 1st, runs for three months, and includes six routes to ride throughout the UK. There are prizes and an online leaderboard so you can see how you compare to your fellow members! Robbie Wallace first raced abroad at our very own Tour of Portugal event in 2016. Almost 10 years later and he's qualified for Dakar 2025! At 'The Big One' event we hosted last month, Robbie gave a great presentation on his journey to get to this point in his racing career. We've just returned from our final checks in Kielder Forest for the upcoming Dark Skies Rally. You are all in for a treat! Great tracks, epic views (during the daylight stages), plus some new challenging terrain for Rally Class... For the first time we will be running the event from Kielder Castle, a stunning venue in the heart of the forest. This is the final big Adventure Rally of 2024, and it will be a big weekend of riding! With two day stages and a night stage in between, the Dark Skies Rally is like no other, where you can navigate through the remote wilderness of Kielder Forest in complete darkness.
