We bring you exciting news of 2024’s An Evening of Deception and have pulled out all the stops to bring you an exclusive night of magic with two full shows direct from the world famous Edinburgh Fringe.

Hudson & Hudson - Married At First Sleight

What happens when 2 magicians get married? Is life full of magic surprises or do they still have petty arguments over who's taking the bins out? Can you ever relax when your partner is constantly playing tricks on you in the middle of a boxset?
Alan Hudson (Penn and Teller: Fool Us winner) and Kat Hudson (star of Wonderville in the West End) join forces for the first time. And if they argue too much, the last time. They’ve been together for 11 years and married for 6 years, but this is the first time they’ve decided to try teaming up on stage. So watch out for some petty arguments and domestics along the way!
The show is full of comedy, mind blowing magic and incredible mind reading.

The Great Baldini presents Illusionati - A Magical Conspiracy

The show takes us back to Britain in the 1930’s where The Great Baldini is a fixture of the British Music Hall Magic Circuit. Whilst charmingly pompous and theatrical, he has never quite achieved the success he feels he deserves, and he suspects this is because an unseen power is working against him. Baldini discovers the diary of the Great Lafayette. A clue scribbled on the last page identifies a secret cabal of Magicians (THE ILLUSIONATI) as this power.

Baldini is determined to find and confront the ILLUSIONATI and finally take his rightful place as the preeminent magician of his age. Imagine Tommy Cooper trying to crack the da Vinci Code – a dangerous, thrilling, and hilarious adventure spanning Europe and the ages!

Steve Knibbs will be back to compere An Evening of Deception once more and tickets are now on sale - we’ve added an extra show from the kick off this year as we completely sold out again last year - so book now!

It’s Official - Live Magic is Back!

Its been a while, and we’ve had great fun doing our virtual zoom shows, but we’re beyond excited to let you know that “An Evening of Deception” is returning to the stage next year!

We’ll be back in our spiritual home of the Irving Studio at the Everyman Theatre - Cheltenham from Thursday 10th to Saturday 12th February 2022

Topping the bill is Steve Faulkner from Sheffield. He cut his magical teeth as a street performer in Covent Garden and is now one of the most respected performers of his generation. Steve will be bringing his brand-new show to Cheltenham for the first time.

Also performing, we have Bristol based magician, Ava Beaux. An experienced theatre and cabaret performer, Ava transports audiences through her unique mix of imaginative magic, and storytelling. Ava’s slick patter and skilled magic will leave you feeling both astonished and charmed!

Completing the line-up, from right here in Gloucestershire, is Tom Elliott. Tom is one of the UK's most exciting comedy magicians and a regular on the theatre and festival circuit.
