Hello Monday! Where did that weekend go? Wasn’t the weather gorgeous !? ☀️
We started Saturday off at The Flower Barn meeting a lovely couple to chat all things flowery for their gorgeous wedding next summer. They’ve chosen our VIP service (Very Important Petals!) which is very exciting.
Then it was up to the farm to do the dreaded weeding! It’s relentless up there at the moment but so satisfying when it’s all done😊

What an exciting & fabulous week we’ve had here at The Flower Barn & Farm. You’ve all loved our Tulips that we’ve supplied to Flowervision - Bristol Ltd & thanks so much for all the love 🤍 We have new varieties going over to the team there next week.
We’ll be busy picking our flowers tomorrow morning for our Fresh Flower Market that will be back at Hanley Farm Shop tomorrow Friday 5th & Saturday 6th with beautiful new varieties of Tulips, plants & all things pretty!

The first day of our Fresh Flower Market brought some much needed colour and joy even if it was pouring down with rain and absolutely freezing!!! We even had a hail storm!!
We’ll be back, despite the weather, at Hanley Farm Shop today with more of our freshly picked Tulips for you from 10am until 3pm

Tuberose 🤍 we’ve potted up lots of these beauties at the flower farm today.
If you love fragrant flowers you will absolutely love this plant.
It’s easy to see why it’s used so widely in many perfumes.

Beautiful Ranunculus in White, Rose and Pink are what we have to look forward to in the Spring at the Flower Farm.
We started hundreds of corms off in the Autumn so the plants are super strong now.
They’re in the ground under cover and growing beautifully and we literally can not wait for them to bloom 🤍

Fun in the mud yesterday up at The Flower Farm. Lifting and cleaning off Dahlias then hanging them out to dry. Planted more David Austin roses too 😍

Who doesn’t love Sweet Peas 😍?
With their heady scent and beautiful blooms they have to be my favourite annual flower to grow. Perhaps it’s their simple elegance and the romance that they portray ? When I smell them I know I’m instantly transporting right back to my childhood and memories of my Grandad Jack who always grew them in his garden 😊
We’ve planted hundreds of the most beautiful varieties for you at the farm this Autumn and we can’t wait for them to make their appearance next May 🤍🌱🌸

There’s something so beautifully fresh about bringing the outside in at this time of year don’t you think?!
Glossy green Beech branches are
Pure heaven and I often have jugs of this beauty around the house 🌿💚
Cut the stems at a nice sharp angle and plunge a few centimetres into a jug of boiling water for 30 seconds or so. This kills any bacteria & opens up the stem to enable it to drink more easily. Then plonk them in a vase using the natural shape of the branch & enjoy 🌿💚
