Congratulations Ria and Arran on your recent marriage and thank you for booking Bertie and Jonny to provide the live music during your wedding service and drinks reception. It was our last wedding of 2024 and everyone was still in a party mood after the Christmas celebrations! It was a fabulous, new venue for us and we really enjoyed playing for you and your guests in the Great Hall. We were absolutely delighted to receive the 'Best Wedding Musical Act for East Wales, 2024' award at the Welsh-National Wedding Awards on Sunday, 10th November. We would like to extend a massive thank-you to everyone who voted for us, all the brides and grooms who booked us, and everyone who supported our music with kind feedback and comments through-out the year. We could not have done it without you and this award means a great deal to us. We enjoyed every wedding we played at, each one unique in its own way and we very much look forward to continuing entertaining wedding guests into 2025 and beyond. Thank you all again for your support!

One of the nicest things about doing a wedding show is that occasionally you get to jam with other wedding musicians. Here's one of us playing Autumn Leaves with Sam Hickman, The Cardiff Harpist, at yesterday's Welsh National Wedding Fayre at Cardiff City Stadium. You don't see many violin/guitar/harp trios and it was great fun to play this classic tune together! A big thank you to Isabel Goodman and everyone at JR Events for organising the show and to everyone who came along, we enjoyed meeting you all.

Emotional tears

A big thank you to Charlotte, Penny and all the team at Mounton Brook Lodge - Chepstow for organising another fabulous wedding fayre! The venue was really buzzing and there was a great atmosphere through-out the day. Thank you to everyone who stopped by at our stand to say hello and also a big thank you to Kay Davies for her tireless help and support during the show.

Unwittingly and to our surprise, Bertie and Jonny have often been described as ‘like something out of Bridgerton’.
Maybe it’s because we play popular catchy tunes, with a classical twist, by artists such as Ed Sheeran, Beyoncé, Kings of Leon, Ellie Goulding, Adele amongst many others.
Or maybe it’s because we love playing for brides and grooms and their guests, particularly on warm sunny days while drinks and canapés are being served on the lawn and everyone is chilling out and having a great time.
Or maybe it’s the hats.
Whatever the reason, you can judge for yourself at the Mounton Brook Lodge - Chepstow Wedding Fayre on Sunday October 6th, 2024, 12-3pm. We will be there along with many other fantastic wedding suppliers. We will be playing many well known, contemporary tunes during the day along with the occasional classical piece. If you are planning to come along, why not come over and say hello? - but not too many Bridgerton questions please!
