Hi folks, I've been asked if i know of anyone free for Saturday 24th August for a gig in Kelsall. 7-12 DJ and Karaoke and if you do acoustic too then added bonus but not requirement.

No idea on money being offered as right now it's just about who's available at short notice for bank hol weekend and you can discuss that between you and booker.

I have been asked many many times over the years, if I had lessons how to sing and I answered genuinely, no. Never. However after covid got me back in 2019, I never really recovered and got hit time after time with illness that took my breath away, literally, and then back in Jan this year I got the 100 day cough which turned Into asthma.

I realised that although I just about managed (loosely), I definitely wasn't at my best. I came to the realisation that in my 40s I'd be very unlikely to get the voice back I had in my 20s. However I also knew that if I didn't get help I'd ruin it permanently and perhaps even get to the point where I couldnt sing at all any more and so I reached out to a local voice coach for lessons to build myself back up again.

Not only in the short time ive been having lessons have I achieved a level where I'm happy again, but Sarah is now pushing me for much more than I ever thought I could do. I'm now at 1 octave +2 below middle c and 2 octaves plus 3 above (an f6 I think) though don't trust me on this. However it's still pretty fricken awesome.

I've never felt more confident singing in my life. Plus she's pushing me to look at songs I've not just dreamed of doing but also opening me up to new stuff I didn't know existed.

I am very grateful for music. It allows me to truly be free!

Anyhoo, drunk post over.....go check em out. Loads of music tuition, piano, drums, etc but also sound healing therapy which is just the best no matter what!!

Wezz Howe and I are performing once again, on both days as we live a party.

Though wezz had been helping organise this and had played numerous times over the years, this will be our 3rd year preforming together.

I love this festival, the folks that volunteer are incredible and the atmosphere is so lovely and high vibes!

A wonderful, chilled day, raising money for charities, drinking and having fun with friends. What more could you want?

Oh wow. What a night! New Chester Market what an amazing evening. So many familiar faces and so many new ones too. Singing along, dancing, arms in the air, that's literally the greatest thing I can ask for as a performer. It makes every minute I went thorough doubting myself, worth it.

We're not back at the market until October now sadly (due to other commitments), but we're still out and about doing our thing at Northgates JAX and so many others so keep yourself following to see where we are next xx

Thank you to all the bar staff and servers and security and workers at the Market, you were also incredible.

Also a massive thanks to everyone at northgates bar who let me take over the DJIng lol.

I just wanted to pop in here and say a big HI 👋 and welcome to all the amazing folks who have followed me recently.

I'm Helen, I've been singing 🎤 one way or another my whole life but 'retired' myself from my last band and solo singing about 8 years ago. It all got a bit too much, anxieties ruled and so I walked away. It was the right thing to do and I was looking forward to it.

I continued my full time job, not realising that I was slowly moving further and further away from who I was. In Aug 2022, I decided to quit and start to work for myself. On 31st Dec 2022, I left my job of 17 years. Best decision I ever made.

I got my energy back and my love for people, socialising and most importantly, singing. Along with my musical partner in Crime we started getting a little set list together and before we knew it we started to be asked to gig. The response from friends & family finding out I was singing again, was all I needed to know it was the right thing to do. 😁

So whilst I have successfully navigated my first year of self employment, 2024 is looking to be just as epic.

So there you are. A little intro to me and my story.

I will be forever grateful to you all for your support.
