I’ve kindly been invited to step-in and sing some classic Bowie songs next Saturday at Camp and Furnace, Liverpool to help celebrate Bowie’s birthday. It seems that my rendition of Peace on Earth has presented an opportunity to sing more great songs by one of me faves, who was also a huge Scott Walker fan. I won’t be sporting any Ziggy flashes or short kimonos, so don’t panic. I just hope the lyrics sink in before then and hope I do him proud.

Apart from my last gig being over 2 months ago where there were about ten people in the audience, I've also had two cancellations within 24 hours, so I'm now free on December 3 and 17 if anyone knows of anywhere looking for a singer.

It's depressing to think that I used to have about 15 gigs in December and now I'm struggling to keep one.

I created this back in Summer, but I think everyone was enjoying the sunshine instead of listening to a song using autumn as a handy metaphor for depression and getting old. It's a beautiful, sad and reflective song that's become one of my personal favourites. It was written by Lee Hazlewood, who also wrote 'These Boots Are Made for Walkin' for Nancy Sinatra and it seems that the 'done come' is southern US for 'has come'. The backing track took feckin' ages to create and I wanted the video to have a bit of a 60s 'James Bond' feel, so I hope you like it.
