This is Part 2 of Ben’s challenge for the MND association, the London to Brighton Ultra (100km), having already completed the Copenhagen marathon in an amazing 3hrs 27mins! We hope to catch him en route and will then be there to cheer and scoop him up at the end!🤞🙏

I can’t believe it’s already Saturday, and I’m only just posting an update with some pics from our celebrations on Wednesday….we had such a lovely day! Thank you to all that came to say hi, and to the many of you that sent messages☺️

We had cards, cakes, biscuits and other treasures, including the most gorgeous drawing of our little shop by Donna, & a hand painted beautiful peony card by Jan🙌🏼….I may have to do this every year🤣. Many of you will also have seen the fabulous branded ribbons gifted to us from our lovely friend Katie for our birthday - I’m thinking these may need to become a permanent feature!

Importantly, I wanted to say the biggest thank you to my lovely, super creative staff, Anna, Jan & Donna - I’m sure you will agree that they always give wonderful service and a genuine welcome. This also extends to past valued staff, Louise and Lucy…it really is the people who help make a business fun and valued🙏

Save the date, we’re getting ready to celebrate!! Next Weds, Velvet Peony turns 5! 🎉 It may not sound much, but we’re super proud & want to thank you all for your amazing support🙌🏼

We are planning an ‘open house’ between 2pm and 7pm(ish!), so would absolutely love you to pop and say hello, and enjoy a glass of fizz!🥂

There will be some little treats, including a sample tea light of our gorgeous new candle for each of you🌺. We are also busy putting together lovely little bags, containing products from some of our favourite brands….these will be a gift with any purchase (or flower preorder) on the day of £25 or more, or available to buy for £10 (contents value well over £20).

We’re Easter ready with an abundance of flowers, chocolate, nests of eggs and bunnies!! We even have some gorgeous blown goose eggs, fabulous for painting/decorating! Oh my goodness, we have some news!! We have our very first Velvet Peony candle!!!🤍🥂🤍 We’ve been like excited children over this project, and we really hope you love it as much as us!
This is a collaboration with the fabulous , whose gorgeous candles we have stocked from the very beginning.
This is The Florist, No.1 - a spring/early summer scent that literally makes you smile!🌷🪻Its a 40hr burn, in a tin you can repurpose, priced at £20 ###

Spending so much of this week planning and dreaming of some wonderful new stock, from both new and existing suppliers, following a fab visit to on Sunday.

Especially loved catching up with Katie, aka - 5 years ago I was simply a customer, before being lucky enough to stock her gorgeous cards and prints in my shop😊.

So, we’re back tomorrow, refreshed and raring to see what 2024 brings!

We’ve decided to start with our first ever SALE🎉. With just a few exceptions (including flowers), most products will be reduced by at least 20%, with Christmas stock down 30-50%….🎄 Come and grab some bargains over the next 10 days - we’ll be aiming to wind it up on 20th Jan.

The plan is to free up a bit of space for some lovely new stock, as we head into spring. We have lots of exciting ideas and plans for the coming months & look forward to seeing you all xx

We have put collection tins and labels for messages in Farndon PO, Lewis's of Farndon, The Hare at Farndon, Farndon Hair Studio, the Secret Spa Holt, and The Salon Holt ltd. Hopefully that gives everyone a chance to get to one.
Donations would of course be lovely, but we’d also like as many messages/memories as possible, so we can put a book together.

As I’m sure you know, it’s pretty tough out there for many businesses, especially us small independents. The fact that you choose to spend with all of us locally, means THE WORLD, and is never taken for granted, so thank you🙏

We’re busy getting prepped and excited for our open evening tomorrow😊🎄. Open 6-8ish, along with our lovely neighbours Lewis’s and the Beauty Studio.
