An exciting opportunity has arisen as we seek a Wedding and Events Assistant.
The successful candidate will have an open and approachable manner and thrive on interacting with people. You’ll be highly customer focused, and will assist with the delivery of high-quality service standards. Experience in the industry is key. As a Wedding and Events Assistant, you will be working alongside the Events Manager assisting with making sure the wedding and events run efficiently and organised, making sure high standards are still being maintained.

This role is very hands on and you will be focused on the operational side of the wedding and events, ensuring events are set up and being able to be confident on function days to ensure everything is ready and support the Events Manager. If you are looking to progress your career in weddings then this role will give you an opportunity to do this.

Candidates must be flexible with working weekends/evenings and throughout the week.
Candidates applying must have previous experience in this job role and we are not accepting previous applicants.

We are looking for 2 candidates and the job will be on a 15-hours permanent contract per week, with potential to progress. Would also consider one 30-hour permanent contract (flexible) for the right candidate.

Duties:
- Co-ordinating staff and food service throughout the event.
- The role involves supporting the operations and standards ensuring high standards of presentation are always maintained.
- Work alongside the Events Manager to make sure events run sufficiently and organised to the correct standards of Dunston Hall.
- Demonstrate excellent qualities by always leading by example and showing a positive approach to the job role.
- Having a great eye for detail to make sure we deliver the best standards and go above and beyond for our guests.
- Complete opening and closing procedures including cleaning and delegating tasks where necessary.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Being able to set up and prepare for events to a high standard.

I Do Awards ⭐️

We had a fabulous evening at the I Do Wedding Awards 2024 last night!

Even though we didn’t win the award for the Best Independent Wedding Venue in the Midlands, we are still over the moon to be named a finalist ♥️

Exciting news 😍

The New Heritage Centre at Dunston Hall is nearly ready to open. We’re just waiting for some amazing new items to be delivered and Chesterfield Planning department to give us the greenlight to Open and then this £2,500,000 restoration project which has converted falling down barn and stables into something truly amazing. Extending the garden centre as well as opening our new Food Hall and Deli.
