Had a quick tally up and you lovely people have generously donated £573 in sponsor money for my 'Brave the Shave' on Christmas Day. This brings the fundraising total for Alzheimers Research UK to £854! Thank you to everyone who has donated now and in the past. Together we will beat this terrible disease.

Most of you will know my mum died of complications caused by Alzheimers nearly three years ago. Alzheimers is a disease which has caused a lot of heartache in my family with mum, auntie, uncle, and great aunt all suffering from it. Christmas Day was mums birthday and she would have been 89 this year. To honour her and raise money to find a cure for this terrible disease I shall be 'braving the shave' and shaving my head, possibly live on Facebook, on Christmas day in support of Alzheimers Research UK.

"From the minute I spoke to Jennifer on the telephone, I knew I wanted her to be our celebrant. Jennifer was very down to earth, I could tell she was ‘local’ as could relate to her with many things, I knew she would be a great celebrant. She spoke very well, and had much character and enthusiasm in her voice. Jennifer came out to see me, and then came back again to meet myself and Gavin to get a feel for what our relationship was like and what kind of ceremony we wanted. We had regular chats over WhatsApp and she telephoned me the week of the wedding to ensure everything was all ok, and that nothing had changed. I knew I was in safe hands with Jennifer and that she would do the best job. Everyone commented on how brilliant she was! The script and certificate was presented beautifully too! Definitely recommend!!"

Heres a beautiful poem chosen by the bride I did a wedding celebration ceremony for on Saturday. Written by young poet Whitney Hanson, its really trending right now, and rightly so.

They say that sometimes
love starts with a spark.

And that might be true,
but if I were to wish you a love,
I wouldn't wish fire for you.

You see, fire is powerful.
It burns bright and then it's gone.
It's beautiful and warm,
but it doesn't last long.

So instead of wishing you a love that burns,
I wish you a love like a river twists and turns.
It changes and it flows,
It is powerful and free.
But it consistently finds its way back to the sea.

And so like the water,
