I will be at Cuckney House today.. the fayre is on 10am-3pm, and it's been an honour to decorate the ceremony room, entrance hall, and bar.

You will find me in the marque if you would like to talk all things flowers and decor Sadly, I can only be there in person until 12.30 .

Come and take a look as it's been restored beautifully. It might be a small, intimate venue you are seeking, or somewhere to stay before and after your big day.

🎄 Christmas Closure 🎄

Silver Sixpence will be closed for Christmas from 16th December to January 2nd, 2024. Our team is taking a well-deserved break to celebrate and recharge. We'll be back, refreshed and ready to create more magic on January 3rd, 2024.

🌿🌸Hello! I thought it was about time I showed my face. I really don't like having my photo taken. Big thank you to the magic of EKR Pictures for capturing these photos of me and my business partner Ivy (not that she does much as chief treat counter!)

So here are a few things about me:
🌿 I trained as a florist 9 years ago after a career change
🌸 I was born and lived in Chesterfield, Derbyshire my whole life
🌿 I love the Peak District and taking my crazy spaniel for a walk
🌸 My favourite flowers are stocks and tulips
🌿 My drink of choice is a nice big cup of tea
🌸 I also own and run a highstreet flower shop
🌿 Wedding flowers are my speciality

Hello, I have now opened my diary for consultations, not sure about anyone else but I just didn't trust that the date the government had said for reopening non- essential retail!

Today and tomorrow I am sending a link out to all those booked with me up until August to be able to book a consultation to go over all final details.

Also I will be taking a weekly covid test to keep everyone as safe as possible.

I have a few outstanding enquiries from the last few weeks. So sorry, I was unwell last week. I will reply over the next few days with quotes and the offer of appointments to come and see me.

Finally my downloadable brochure is nearly ready 🤞🌼 this give details in packages, starting prices and how we work, if anyone would like a copy please pop me an email across and I'll get you one out as soon as it's complete

// Dreaming of Summer Weddings //

We just loved being involved in this gorgeous styled shoot last summer at the Maynard . It was the perfect day of summer showers and bright sunshine.

I am tackling my email inbox today. Firstly replying to those who have moved their dates within the last week, then I'll be sending out a form to all those booked in directly with me to update your wedding details ( if you have booked through Jenny at she has passed on your new dates to me) . Finally I'll be replying to new enquiries that I have received and will be sending quotes and confirming availability.

Thank you for your patience. I'm currently working 6 days a week in the high street florist which isn't leaving me much time for admin 🌼

Just wanted to pop on and say hello. Can you believe we are already approaching the end of February? This year so far has been the slowest yet the quickest I've experienced. So sorry for being a little quiet over the last few months, to be honest I've found it all hard to process and keep motivated, I know many others are feeling the same. Also most of you may know I have a high street florist shop and have been busy with Valentine's and now Mother's Day preparations. And unfortunately lots of funerals.

I really miss creating with flowers for weddings and got my fingers crossed we get some idea later of a road map ahead.

That in mind I will be getting in touch with everyone over the next week. I have a few outstanding email replies and enquiries which I will respond to first then I'll be working date order to go over changes, plans and confirming any moved dates.
