F & G 💕

It’s time to celebrate these fabulous humans and their day. I met F&G at a wedding fair and after giving 1 small planning tip, they called to book ❤️

These guys were already super organised but needed a bit of a hand with a tricky venue, a bit of styling and pulling their day together.

They made a day full of fun, love and laughter. Their friends and family were all ready to join the party and celebrate this wonderful day.

When you dreamt of your perfect wedding in the Scottish countryside did it look a bit like this?

N & A had so many personal elements and touches to their day from the tartan of the kilts, the Persian feast to their table dedicated to remembering those no longer earth side. Every moment was true to them.

Speeches……who should do them and when? 🥂

Just remember, there are no rules. It’s entirely up to you how, who, when and if speeches even happen.

One of my favourite things I’ve seen popping up recently is having the first speech to close the cocktail hour or reception drinks. It’s a lovely way to start your wedding breakfast and a great way to call your guests in to be seated. 🌸

Personally, I am all about the couple both making a speech. Why should one get to tell all the stories?! 🎤

Family struggles and difficult relationships often mean that the traditional speeches aren’t what a couple desires or they aren’t able to have them. This is not uncommon, if it’s not what you need in your day then don’t do it. Perhaps, if you want to give someone a role but a speech feels too large, you could ask them to do a toast or manage your photographer’s call list. 📷

All in all, if you’re planning to have speeches, make sure you’re comfortable with who is making them and remember to make your own traditions, it’s your day! 💜🩷❤️
