It’s was a great week at 3v3 Super Small Sided for local club with the boys U10 winning the plate and cup on 3v3 Friday University of Chichester and chichestercitygirls U10 winning the plate in Portsmouth on Tuesday.

Also shout out to atalantafootballclub.uk who girls U11 and U10 winning the Cup 🔥

Boy academy players are not allowed to play in our popular One Tournament Nationals or The Big One 11v11. But they can play up a year in our 3v3 Nationals and London Easter Cup England Experience.

Cat 1 Academies
This is the highest classification awarded to an Academy. It is an elite environment where Academy players are given additional access to coaching from pre academy, through u9s till U21’s.

Category 1 Academies can recruit players nationally from U15 provided the Academy player is guaranteed access to a full term education programme.

Arsenal, Aston Villa, Blackburn, Brighton, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Derby, Everton, Fulham, Leeds, Leicester, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham Forest, Reading, Southampton, Stoke City, Sunderland, Tottenham, West Bromwich Albion, West Ham, and Wolves.

Category 2 Academies

Is an elite development environment where Academy Players are typically recruited locally but gain access to additional coaching opportunities as well as an educational program.

A key difference between category 1 and category 2 is the level of funding and available resources. However they still offer excellent opportunities for young players to develop their skills and potentially reach the professional level.

Here is the list of category two clubs as of August 2024

Bournemouth, Barnsley, Birmingham City, Brentford, Bristol, Cardiff, Charlton, Colchester, Coventry, Crewe Alexandra, Fleetwood, Hull City, Ipswich, Millwall, Norwich, Peterborough, QPR, Sheffield United, Sheffield Wednesday, Swansea, Watford, Wigan.

There is also Cat 3 and Cat 4 academy clubs.

In our experience a top level grassroots team in the top 5% can compete with any level academy team.

However Cat 1-4 academy set ups often have more access to elite level competition, structured coaching programmes, full time coaching staff and the player does not pay subs.

Over 20 different Cat 1-4 scouts attended our tournaments in 2025

SFC U8 National Champions 2024 🏆

The boys from North London came out on top for the 4th year on the bounce! Beating group winners on the day Billericay from Essex in the semi final, the boys turned on the style against a strong Top Ballerz side also from London in the final and SFC came out victorious once again

Some great football on display by some elite players which made for an epic finals day back in July.
