Having visited the D Day museum and landing craft this week we will be recommending this as a pre tour activity as it is a very good overview for anyone wanting to go on one of our 5 day beaches tours. Go armed with the back ground and see were it all happened

Today we can announce a new beginning for the Tours, we are planning some new tours although as we speak we cannot travel. However in association with my great friend Beal we are looking at a "The Cherbourg story " and "Normandy bunkers" Tours. We have two tours left over before the first lockdown which we hope to run soon and then actively looking for new clients for tours and would welcome discussions now to start the planning on these. So planning meeting for the up and coming Utah to Cherbourg tour tomorrow night. Looking forward to firming up some more details

The Utah to Cherbourg tour is in advanced planning and is set to be a very interesting tour. The main resistance to the American plans to clear the Cherbourg peninsula was the 6th regiment of German paratroopers. Branded the "lions of Carentan they stalled the American advance almost at every move. This despite very little bordering on mo mechanical transport, sparce Antitank weapons and dwindling numbers due to severe casualties. The whole campaign was relatively slow moving and an operation of attrition. The Bocage countryside played a huge part in offsetting the huge numerical and personal balance the Americans had.

So tours for next year include, Utah to Cherbourg the story of the American push to secure the Contentin Peninsular and those who resisted, D Day beaches, Market Garden and more in the planning. Contact me for more details

Last day and a visit to the Lommel German war grave, absolutely blew me away! 39,111 souls buried here , such a waste, all died in or around 1944 so the fighting towards the crossing of the Rhine early 45. A cold grey November day was a perfect back drop
