This is Hugo, and it's his birthday today 🎂
Did you know he personally oversees all of your ceremonies?
🐾 he celebrates every new enquiry with zoomies
🐾 He sits under the desk during our video calls, keeping my toes warm
🐾 He's a top-notch study buddy for all ceremony research activities - if we need to read or watch things, he's down to keep me company!
🐾 He's my thinking companion - need to get out and brew an idea, he's always up for a walk!
🐾 He's the post-master, letting me (and half the street) know when new supplies arrive.
🐾 Hes the writing coach behind every ceremony writing sesh - always close by making sure I don't slack off (although when I've worked too long he'll also cut me off by draping his ears on my keyboard or climbing on me)
🐾 He's my biggest critic during an editing sesh...if i read out something he doesn't like, he gives savage side-eye!

I was asked on Sunday if I'd be able to deliver a naming ceremony at short notice this week for a family in Central London and it was my pleasure to accept.
It was an intimate ceremony, held in a cozy private dining room, and was a ceremony filled with love.
Lucas parents not only wanted to celebrate the joy that Luca brings into the world and their hopes for his future, they also wanted to celebrate the guiding light of his God father Paul, whom they all deeply cherish.
Thank you for having me as your celebrant today, it was a privilege, and I wish you all every happiness for the future.

Not gonna lie, folks, it's taken a week to recover from Laura and Dean's wedding. I have had severe disco damage, so coupled with school holiday, I've been hanging by a thread.
Happy to be back to tackling the celly to-do list today though, with some exciting ceremony shenanigans for H&B, and A&P in the works.

I am so bloody excited that one of my all-time fave couples gets hitched tomorrow.
It has been THE longest wait. But the day is almost finally here, and I am so honoured to be standing by your side tomorrow as your maid of honour.
Laura & Dean, I love you loads. Thank you for being two of the best friends a girl could ask for ❤️
P.s. I know I'm married, and it should be a matron of honour... but that makes me sound old!

As a child, weddings always felt like stepping into a real-life fairytale. The joy, the love, the magic —every moment was pure enchantment. I was mesmerised by the beautiful princess dresses, the music and dancing, and the promise of forever.
I loved dressing up too, especially if there was the promise of a delicious Britvic 55 if behaved myself! (Anyone else remember those?)
The love of weddings as a kid is part of what inspired me to become a celebrant. I love that I get to bring that same magic to couples now, creating moments they'll cherish forever.
So here's to love, to dreams coming true, and to the fairytales we live every day...and 90s heart print dresses. Obvs! ✨💍❤️

I love love LOVE a venue with a pretty outdoor space.
Not only do they provide a stunning backdrop to any ceremony, I also find fresh air, blue skies (if the weather is on our side!), water and lush greenery good for the soul.
Last week I had the absolute pleasure of being a guest at The Grove near Watford, and they really do have the pretty outdoor thing nailed - complete with sparkly lights and fire pits too.
Simply beautiful 😍 What a dreamy place for a gorgeous wedding.

I found it overwhelming working out what to pick, so was relieved when a friend gifted me this gorgeous bouquet pin before my wedding. The Sunflower pin was also added in remembrance of my Nan.
Today would have been this absolute legends 100th birthday.
My Nan was famous for her way with words, sense of humour, and sheer determination to just get s**t done.
She told me a few days before she died that she "didn't mind the idea of being 90", she just "didn't fancy being 89". So, in true Nan style, she passed away the day before her 89th birthday. Ever the go-getter.
Nan was a huge part of my life. I think of her daily, and I don't think anyone will ever fill that space she left. I often wonder what she'd do or say.
The sunflower in my logo is a subtle little tribute to her. They were her favourite, and it means she's always with me when I'm working.
(I know for a fact she'd tell me that was a better choice than a picture of her other love - a chocolate muffin!)

All the strong ladies heading into a leap year like...
I'm really glad to see DDH (Developmental Hip Dysplasia) being represented on .official tonight.
It's nearly 9 years since our DDH journey, and watching the programme tonight reminded me of all the emotions that came with finding out minatures hips hadn't formed as they should.
I'd never heard of it before, let alone seen a harness, and (already suffering with Post Natal Depression anyway) it hit me in a similar way to the mum in the show tonight. I felt every inch of that acting tonight and more.
It all feels like a lifetime ago now, and I'm grateful for the harness and the incredible ortho team (even though I cursed it & cried every day at the time), and also grateful for
I hope tonight's show raises awareness so that when the hippy path choses its next family, they know they're not walking it alone.

So finding a role where I can combine the two and do some good in the world is just so fulfilling. I didn't set out to start a business.
