Why am I bigging up another celebrant? Well, simply because I believe in

Being a celebrant is wonderful (I mean, it's darn right magical at times), BUT the reality of being a small business owner means it isn't all lovely ceremonies and pretty dresses 100% of the time. Sometimes you just need someone else who gets it.

Thats when having a network of other awesome celebrants and wedding suppliers around you who pop up in your inbox, cheer you on when you're winning, inspire you when you're stuck, and gently kick you up the bum when you're veering off track is gold...and Cat is the 24 karat kind.

This unity sand ceremony was extra special – created with the joyful energy and creativity of a group of school children ❤️

Each layer of colored sand represents the school house colours along with the shared values each class in KS2, and the staff.

It was all beautifully blended by my expert helpers to symbolise harmony, inclusion, and togetherness, and now has pride of place in the school reception as a meaningful reminder that when we come together, we create something truly unique and lasting.

Could you explain what celebrants do to a primary aged child? 🧐

Next week I'm going to be doing just that when I pop to my daughters school to talk about being a celebrant as part of careers week.

I can talk to rooms full of adults all day long, but there's something about a room full of little faces that scares me (hats off to teachers who do this daily!)

At best i'm hoping to leave with a tiny army of people who won't be afraid to change careers as they grow up or might even want to do this awesome job in the future...and at worst, at least that's a lot of young people who won't be asking me "aren't you like a registrar?" In wedding fayres of the future 🤣

✨️Petes wedding, featuring Shauna✨️

Shauna & Pete tied the knot at the Ocean Point Gazebo at the surrounded by some of their closest family and friends. The perfect setting to celebrate their married life together and also honour Petes family Jamaican roots.

The ceremony was full of fun - from beer boys, a grooms own entry song, ceremony selfie, and baby ring bearer, to personalised vows, a special " who should go first" poll and a bespoke wedding prayer written just for the happy couple and ready by the grooms aunt.

🍹 Out of Office-ish 🍹

Logging off and getting ready to soak up the sunshine in Jamaica with my family —and I'll be doing a beautiful little ceremony while I’m there! Ceremonies and cocktails, vows and views. What could be more perfect?

I’ll be a little slower on replies until 24th April, but I’ll be back soon, recharged and ready to go!

My friend Dan over at has written a book about his experiences as a young bouncer, time in prison and his transformation into a teacher and now youth support business owner.

It's the ultimate glow up - and I couldn't be more proud of him and all he's achieved. He's worked so bloody hard & is so passionate about helping kids that the proceeds from this book are going back into supporting young people.
