The face of a celebrant who's switched her out of office on!

Had a blast at my last ceremony of the year today (more details and pics to come, but it was gorgeous. The bride and groom looked incredible. There was laughter, tears, and stunning singing)

I have promised my daughter no more writing or emails until the 6th Jan.

I just LOVE IT when all the hours of planning, interviewing, idea storming, questionnaire writing, storyboarding, vow coaching and script writing come together and my clients are happy.

Working with a celebrant isn't a "cut and paste" process. It's a creative process that takes time and effort, both from me and from the couples and families I work with. Every time I start with a clean sheet of paper, ready to create a really unique and special ceremony.

As a Funeral Celebrant, I have the honour of helping families create meaningful, personal ceremonies to celebrate the lives of their loved ones. My role is all about listening, understanding each unique story, and weaving those memories into a heartfelt tribute that truly reflects the person you’re saying goodbye to.

Unlike religious officiants, I don’t follow a specific faith tradition – unless, of course, it’s something you wish to include. This little snippet of Hollie and Bryns big day last month by Video Studio Alex is just too bloody lush not to share (with the couples permission, obvs!).

They had such a heartfelt ceremony to celebrate their love story, with personalised vows, meaningful music, and a handfasting expertly tied (😉) by Hollies brother. Plus one heck of a party afterwards.

It was my absolute honour to be Bryn & Hollies celebrant yesterday as they celebrated their marriage at .hotel.

It was a fun and relaxed ceremony, full of love, laughs, happy tears (mainly the bridesmaids 😉), personal vows, a beautiful handfasting, and just all-around good vibes!

My day to day life is changing, but I'm still here though - still prepping ceremonies for my September couples and families behind the scenes and getting in touch with my Nov/Dec couples.

This is Hugo, and it's his birthday today 🎂

Did you know he personally oversees all of your ceremonies?

🐾 he celebrates every new enquiry with zoomies
🐾 He sits under the desk during our video calls, keeping my toes warm
🐾 He's a top-notch study buddy for all ceremony research activities - if we need to read or watch things, he's down to keep me company!
🐾 He's my thinking companion - need to get out and brew an idea, he's always up for a walk!
🐾 He's the post-master, letting me (and half the street) know when new supplies arrive.
🐾 Hes the writing coach behind every ceremony writing sesh - always close by making sure I don't slack off (although when I've worked too long he'll also cut me off by draping his ears on my keyboard or climbing on me)
🐾 He's my biggest critic during an editing sesh...if i read out something he doesn't like, he gives savage side-eye!

Hugo is 4 today. Happy birthday Hugee-boogie!

Happy naming day Luca! 🎈🧸🎉

I was asked on Sunday if I'd be able to deliver a naming ceremony at short notice this week for a family in Central London and it was my pleasure to accept.

It was an intimate ceremony, held in a cozy private dining room, and was a ceremony filled with love.

Lucas parents not only wanted to celebrate the joy that Luca brings into the world and their hopes for his future, they also wanted to celebrate the guiding light of his God father Paul, whom they all deeply cherish.

Thank you for having me as your celebrant today, it was a privilege, and I wish you all every happiness for the future.

🌟Keeping it classy from "I do" to Dance floor 🤣 🌟

Not gonna lie, folks, it's taken a week to recover from Laura and Dean's wedding. I have had severe disco damage, so coupled with school holiday, I've been hanging by a thread.

Happy to be back to tackling the celly to-do list today though, with some exciting ceremony shenanigans for H&B, and A&P in the works.

🌟 Out of office on - Maid of honour mode activated 🌟

I am so bloody excited that one of my all-time fave couples gets hitched tomorrow.

It has been THE longest wait. But the day is almost finally here, and I am so honoured to be standing by your side tomorrow as your maid of honour.

Laura & Dean, I love you loads. Thank you for being two of the best friends a girl could ask for ❤️

As a child, weddings always felt like stepping into a real-life fairytale. The joy, the love, the magic —every moment was pure enchantment. I was mesmerised by the beautiful princess dresses, the music and dancing, and the promise of forever.

I loved dressing up too, especially if there was the promise of a delicious Britvic 55 if behaved myself! (Anyone else remember those?)

The love of weddings as a kid is part of what inspired me to become a celebrant. I love that I get to bring that same magic to couples now, creating moments they'll cherish forever.

So here's to love, to dreams coming true, and to the fairytales we live every day...and 90s heart print dresses. Obvs! ✨💍❤️

(ps. if anyone wants to give me fizzy orange juice for being a good girl even better!)
