Many times in our lives we meet incredibly brave people and feel humbled by what they go through. Recently I wrote a living eulogy for a dear lady suffering from a brain tumour, she was brave, courageous, funny and able to indicate what she wanted included in her life story. Sadly she died a couple of weeks ago after such a heroic fight. In her memory I am donating my fee to another dear friend who is fighting her own battle. Giving back and being thankful is part of my being, if it was not for my own sister, who died 4 years ago, I would not be on this journey so I am grateful for each day and the opportunity to do what I can.

Not one, not two but three beautiful sand jars for the M family and their 2 gorgeous children this weekend. A beautiful, symbolic ritual for a naming ceremony where everyone can take part and make wishes for the children as they pour.

Always gives me a shiver of expectation when I park for a funeral! On Thursday, we celebrated the life of a 98 year old lady and put the 'fun' in funeral singing The Hippopotamus Song by Flanders and Swann. Mud, mud glorious mud, everyone was smiling!!
