Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of leading a bespoke wedding celebration ceremony for the amazing Harry and Sarah at the stunning
With a guest list of 120+ with many guests travelling across the world to attend, it was a truly fabulous affair.
It was great to work with such a brilliant team too; Leighton and his wedding team at Holmes Mill were exceptional and as for the photographer... well we all need some more of .chilton.photography super friendly and upbeat energy in our lives!!!

This weekend I braved the mud to take my metal loving son to his first Download festival, or as it has been affectionately named 'Drownload' π€βοΈπ€£
Despite metal / rock not exactly being my first / second / third ... (you get the picture) choice of music I had a fantastic time rocking out to retro band as well as watching the joy on my sons face watching his favourite band

I've been busy again this weekend performing stand up comedy as my alter ego as part of the π
We had a fantastic time in Wales π΄σ §σ ’σ ·σ ¬σ ³σ Ώ performing with our comedy mentor and hilariously funny compere at the conference.
Back in a slightly thundery βοΈ Chorley now though ready for a day writing beautiful ceremonies tomorrow π

Today I travelled to London to attend a service at Saint Paul's Cathedral with Prince Harry to mark the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games.
I also attended a reception in the crypt following the service where I had a lovely time sipping lavender lemonade and chatting to the wonderful π

If you are planning a non religious #wedding and undecided whether to book a registrar or #celebrant then you need to know this. The Law Commission has made recommendations to change the outdated wedding laws in England and Wales. Their recommended changes give couples more choice on when, where and who can legally married them. And one of these recommendations is that the ability to conduct legal marriages is extended beyond registrars and religious representativeβs to celebrants. It also recommends getting rid of the restrictive laws around legal marriages taking place in certain places, freeing up couples to get married where they want as long as the correct person conducts the ceremony. But heres the catch. Celebrants fall into two categories; Humanist and Independent. If the government chooses only to give Humanist Celebrants and not Independent Celebrants (like me) the right to marry the laws still wonβt be inclusive. Why? Because my ceremonies can contain some religious elements if requested, ceremonies conducted by Humanists and registrars cannot. So mixed faith couples, or couples who choose not to get married in church but would like something semi religious still miss out. If you are reading this and have any interest in making this country more inclusive, please support the #weddingreform and perhaps consider even talking to your local MP about it before this is debated in parliament.
