I am, 'From Lancashire With Love' I'm Nancy, but most people call me Nance!
(1)

I'm a full-time Wedding & Portrait Photographer, & I consider myself very, very lucky to be doing something I adore. I've been a photographer for just over 10 years. I love my quirky style & I hope you will too. I prefer to shoot a wedding as candid and unposed as possible. It makes for better photos...dare to be different, I say. I'm also very lucky to have the most awesome Second Shooter who is

my husband. We really do make an excellent, eclectic and powerful mix. Why not get in touch & see how we can help you with your special day…

Warm regards, Nancy x

When I’m not shooting weddings & commercial shoots, I like to partake in a bit of Origami. I have this FB page dedicated to it, run workshops, offer 1:2:1s, design personalised cards & more.

Here is my latest design which I can now post because it was a surprise for a very well known landscape photographer aficionado yesterday.

The concept was obviously photography related with a word cloud. The camera was made from 1 sheet of bi-colour origami paper with help from some trusty felt tip pens and a jolly steady hand.

I’ve always tried to move with the times, I’ve embraced AI to a certain extent - BUT - you can’t beat a bit of ‘old school’ crafting thrown into a hand held mixer with some retro Photoshop.

Show some Christmas Spirit and give my page a follow, a like & a share 🫶

Peace out,
Nance

A fantastic day for a wonderful lady who had a surprise for her retirement - she didn’t have a clue that there was a massive celebration for her.

Her face was an absolute picture as she peeked through the door. All the best Margaret & well done Caroline & her excellent team keeping it a secret.

I adore my job, it’s the best thing ever. Thanks as always to my partner in crime, Andy Phillips 🫶📷❤️

All the best Margaret ❤️

A super cool 1:2:1 with a client who was originally a wedding client. This was a Zoom meet for Mobile Photography and the tips and tricks you can use when on your jollies to see the Northern Lights.

Do you or someone you know need a helping hand with their photography, be it mobile or camera - just send me a message.

I can share my screen with you so you can view all devices as if I was sat right next to you.

I also have Gift Vouchers which would make an ideal Xmas Present.

If Zoom is not your thing, I also do 1:2:1s in person.

About ten days ago, Andy and I had the privilege of capturing some incredible moments at the Rochdale Mayfield ARLFC. It had been nearly a decade since I last dabbled in sports photography, and I had never ventured into photographing rugby before.

Thankfully, Andy brought me up to speed on the rules of the game, and once we arrived, Jon—our in-the-know guide—offered valuable tips on what to focus on during the match. His insights made all the difference as I dove into this new and exciting challenge.

The occasion was extraordinary: a Veterans versus Veterans Remembrance Fixture. The event carried a powerful mix of emotions—solemnity, respect, camaraderie, laughter, and a true sense of sportsmanship. It was more than a game; it was a celebration of community and shared history.

A heartfelt thank-you to everyone for having us there, and for the thoughtful gifts and card that arrived this morning. Your kindness means the world to us! Here are a few snapshots from what turned out to be a truly memorable day.

I had an absolutely fantastic time running the Mobile Phone Photography Workshop held at Chorley Golf Club!

It was a perfect blend of learning, creativity, and plenty of laughter, making it both educational and enjoyable. We delved into a variety of essential techniques that elevate mobile photography to the next level.

The session started with the fundamentals of setting up a perfect portrait shot. We explored how to position your subject, create flattering angles, and use natural light to highlight facial features.

For those interested in wedding or commercial photography, we learned the art of capturing stunning flat-lay images—focusing on composition, symmetry, and storytelling through a simple yet impactful layout.

We also tackled the challenge of photographing a lecture with an audience. This involved experimenting with angles to capture both the speaker and the crowd’s engagement, all while balancing available lighting to ensure clarity and sharpness.

One of the highlights was mastering depth of field, especially when shooting through people to add layers and a dynamic perspective to your shots. We discussed how adjusting focus and framing can create compelling images that draw the viewer’s attention.

Lighting played a key role throughout the workshop, as we explored how to harness natural and artificial light to enhance your photos. From creating dramatic shadows to achieving soft, diffused lighting, we discovered how light can transform an image. We also covered using burst mode to capture motion and the ideal shot in action-packed scenarios.

To wrap up, we looked at post-processing techniques using mobile apps to edit photos on the go, emphasising how simple adjustments to brightness, contrast, and colour balance can make a big difference.

All in all, it was an incredibly insightful day packed with practical tips and hands-on practice. A huge thanks to all who joined and made it so much fun! Here’s to making our mobile photography even more creative and professional.

From Lancashire With Love...

I'm Nancy, but most people call me Nance... I'm a full-time Wedding & Portrait Photographer, this is my job, my only job, my love, my passion and I consider myself very, very lucky to be doing something I adore. I've been a photographer for about 8 years. I love my quirky little style and prefer to shoot a wedding as candid and unposed as possible. It makes for better photos...dare to be different, hence my Fearless Photographer membership! I'm also very lucky to have the most awesome Second Shooter, we really do make an excellent, eclectic and powerful mix. In 2018 I will be offering Elopement Photography preferably in the Outer Hebrides, Sutherland, The Kintyre Peninsula and Worldwide too! I'm based in Lancashire, Chorley to be exact but will travel the length and breadth of the universe (petrol & expenses apply obviously) for a fabulous wedding. Warm regards, Nancy x
