**Twilight Weddings this winter season**

Let’s be honest… budgets are tighter these days, and asking couples to compromise on their wedding day never felt right to us.

Back in 2024, we saw the trend coming and thought: How can we offer something magical without taking away the moments that matter?

Most couples think a Twilight Wedding means getting married at dusk, but for us, it’s so much more. It’s a beautiful half-day hire option, perfect for couples who want all the romance, without the full-day price tag.

Yes, there are a few compromises. Our Twilight couples often opt for relaxed dining before the evening party kicks off, and they may choose an off-peak date or work with a shorter planning window if they’re hoping for a Saturday. Many also use our in-house décor or bring in a stylist to make the most of the shorter setup time.

But the experience? The exclusively yours moment that is essential?
Still absolutely there.

So don’t compromise… well, not too much. Because we don’t think you should have to.

SWIPE TO SEE... Now and then...!

Following Remembrance Sunday, it occurred to us how much the landscape has shaped who we are today.

Long before our beautiful barns echoed with the sound of laughter and music, the valley we are nestled in was alive with medieval farmers and shepherds guiding their flocks across the chalk ridges. The very slopes that surround us have offered shelter, sustenance, and celebration from ancient trade paths to quiet parish life beneath the Downs.

Over the centuries, the land around us has transformed and is now a place of peace, beauty, and gathering. The patterns of the past still shape the view today, seen from our windows and watched from our lawns.

The heritage of Long Furlong Barn isn’t confined to the bricks and beams that made us, but to the very landscape that surrounds us. You can feel it in the breeze over the rolling fields and see it in the timeless light that floods our fields at sunset.

When you host your wedding or event with us, you become part of a timeless story, and you’re becoming part of a story thousands of years in the making.

By day, picture drinks and canapés with friends in our sun-drenched courtyard, filled with Mediterranean vibes. By night, it transforms into a peaceful spot to sit beneath the stars, while the dance floor comes alive inside The Granary.

The courtyard truly sits at the heart of our barn venue and has been keeping guests close and bringing everyone together for years. We look forward to seeing more courtyard mingling in the seasons ahead!

As we pause for Remembrance Sunday, we wanted to share a special piece of Long Furlong Barn’s story.

The photograph below shows our barn many years ago, surrounded by rows of tents stretching across the Downs. In the 1930s, this very field was used as an army training camp, a place where young soldiers prepared for the challenges of a world at war.

It’s humbling to think that the same space where people once trained and hoped for peace is now filled with love, laughter and new beginnings.

Today, we remember all those who served and sacrificed, and we’re grateful for the peace and freedom that allow us to gather and celebrate here.

This Remembrance Sunday, we honour their legacy and the promise that every moment shared here will always be exclusively yours.
