Real Wedding

Ellie and Louis were married at Long Furlong Barn on 17th May, with the day beautifully captured by .

Their celebration began in our getting-ready spaces, the Studio and Courtyard Suite, with Ellie making full use of the peaceful Secret Garden. Hair and makeup were expertly styled by , setting the tone for a relaxed and elegant morning.

Ellie and Louis chose a celebrant-led ceremony with Jenny Bell, creating a truly personal moment that included a handfasting ritual, a beautiful way to reflect their love and connection.

The colour palette was bright and sophisticated, with pops of burnt orange worn by the bridal party and woven throughout the floral designs by . The florals were cleverly styled to feature in both the ceremony and reception — a perfect way to make the most of your arrangements.

Guests were treated to a delicious wedding breakfast by , delivering their signature Circa magic.

As golden hour arrived, the soft light perfectly complemented Ellie’s warm, vibrant styling — rolling fields, quiet moments, and a sunset to remember. The night ended with everyone on the dance floor, thanks to .

Thank you, Ellie and Louis, for choosing Long Furlong Barn.

One of the biggest things we see is just how nervous our couples get as the ceremony draws near. And honestly? It makes total sense. Most people have never done anything like this before, no rehearsals, no script, just this big moment that suddenly feels very real.

That’s exactly where we come in. We’re there on the day, gently guiding, calming, and taking each moment step by step. But if you do want to prepare a little in advance, here are a few tips from us:

Remember why you’re here:
You’re not on stage. You’re not performing. You’re here to marry the love of your life. And that is gold.

Keep your bouquet up by your chest:
That way, your face (and your smile!) aren’t hidden in your photos. It’s a small thing that makes a big difference.

Don’t rush:
Walk at a normal pace—take your time, enjoy it. There’s no rush to get to your future.

Don’t overcomplicate the music:
You don’t need dramatic pauses or multiple song changes. That can add pressure where you don’t need it. Keep it simple and let the moment shine.

And finally, go out with a banger!
Pick an exit song that feels epic. You’ve done the vows, the nerves are gone, the joy’s kicked in—that’s the moment to let go and celebrate!

It’s your day. Do it your way. And we’ll be there, making sure every step of it feels just right.

We’ve all been loving this stretch of sunshine—some of the driest and sunniest days on record here in the UK, but let’s be honest… sometimes those blue skies bring a sprinkle of confetti clouds.

So here are our top tips to make sure your wedding day is unforgettable, whatever the weather:

1. Pick a venue with versatile spaces that don't rely solely on the weather.

2. Style your decor so it can easily transition between the two.

3. Have fun, elegant or quirky umbrellas at the ready. Rain and brollies are a dreamy combination and can make for some of the most romantic and memorable wedding photos. Embrace the mood!

4. Keep perspective. If the skies open up, remember the heart of the day: marrying your person, surrounded by love. Rain or shine, your day will be stunning, because it’s yours.

5. Dance in the rain, wait for the rainbows and celebrate your way, confetti clouds and all!
