Getting Ready in Style

Wedding mornings wouldn’t be complete without our two beautiful getting-ready rooms.

Ideally located, they can host the couple separately or offer plenty of space for larger bride tribes and support crews!

Our original suite, The Courtyard Suite, sits at the heart of the barn. Its central location means easy access for last-minute rehearsals or those final decorative touches. With its cool north-facing aspect, it stays perfectly comfortable on summer days, while underfloor heating keeps it warm and cosy through the winter months.

In 2023, we introduced The Studio, featuring its own secluded garden, completely hidden from guests. It’s the perfect setting for a first look or that unforgettable moment when Dad sees you for the first time.

Whichever space you choose, both offer a calm and relaxed start to your celebrations and are the perfect setting to get ready, take a breath, and begin your best day ever.

Dreaming of a barn wedding ceremony without committing to a full-day hire?

Welcome to our little secret… the Ceremony-Only Experience at Long Furlong Barn.

For years, we’ve quietly opened our doors midweek to couples who want the beauty and atmosphere of a countryside barn wedding, and now, we’re delighted to officially share it with you.

Say “I do” in the romantic glow of The Cartshed, surrounded by soft fairy lights and rustic beams, followed by time to wander our grounds and capture those perfect just-married moments.

Choose from two serene ceremony times:
🕛 12pm ceremony (hire from 11am – 1:30pm)
🕑 2pm ceremony (hire from 1pm – 3:30pm)

Each hire includes time after your ceremony for photos, and you can extend your celebration with post-ceremony drinks in our beautiful courtyard or bar. Think sparkling prosecco, relaxed music, and that just-married glow before heading off for your reception.

The Cartshed | Wedding Ceremonies | Post-Ceremony Drinks | Parties

Hey, lovely people! If you’re new here, welcome and thank you for following us!

We know the Cartshed inside out, but some of you might not! So over the coming days, we’re sharing everything you need to know.

Here’s the lowdown 👇

- Renovated in 2014, our stunning grain store has since hosted over 500 weddings, from intimate gatherings to full-scale celebrations. We’ve seen celebrities walk our aisle, witnessed vow renewals, and celebrated countless love stories.

- The space comfortably seats up to 130 guests in traditional rows of 7, but we love a creative layout and we’ve even hosted ceremonies in a circle!

- Each beam is wrapped in fairy lights (lovingly installed years ago by our friends at Hire You Day, adding the perfect sparkle to your walk down the aisle. Later, we added a fairy light canopy above the ceremony area, creating more fairy light magic, especially during our Twilight ceremonies.

- Our Chiavari chairs, wicker hearts, and rustic “reserved” signs are all included — it’s those little details that make a difference (and help the budget!).

Our rustic ceremony tables are a total hit with no table linen needed here! They make a dreamy base for florals and photos alike and become tables for the drinks reception post-ceremony.

- Whether you’re planning a summer celebration or a winter wedding, the Cartshed keeps everyone comfortable with air conditioning for warmer days and heating for those cosy winter moments.

The smaller barn known as the Cart Shed can comfortably seat up to 120 guests for the wedding ceremony, whilst our impressive second barn The Granary can seat up to 150 guests for the wedding breakfast.
