On Tuesday this week we completed a small WiFi install in Clitheroe alongside our colleagues at SoVeryAPT which entailed a lot of steps being covered and lots and lots of CAT6 being pulled through cavities.

Wednesday we repaired a pair of classic Void Stasys 4s in Joshua Brooks and at the same time reprogrammed the Powersoft / Void Acoustics D1 amplifier with the latest firmware and the correct PAM settings, plus a touch of EQ just in time for Roger Sanchez and Manchild Mixes and Stuff last night in the basement.

Thursday we took two HK Audio and two tops and lighting to Colne ready for another night of madness with Perry and Owens Bingo That's Bonkers on Saturday night.

Thursday evening Darryl and Morgan met up with the usual Macedonian truck driver to take delivery of even more MM Acoustics Deutschland MM-Acoustics speakers.

Friday morning we ran a small MM Acoustics system and set it up in The Miller Arms Singleton for an afternoon with Bez this Sunday starting at 3pm till 8pm. We will be there on monitoring duties and of course we will be watching the football GoggleBox style with Bez.

Friday afternoon we then put a NEXT Audiogroup system into a Function room in Haslingden so that tonight Michael can run his music through ALLEN & HEATH CQ18T via Bluetooth, the singer can plug her mic and iPad in via 3.5mm and 3/4 jack wires then the DJ can plug in to the additional XLRs we put in to channels 5/6 for his daughters 30th birthday party.

Today we are in Hyde supplying more HK Audio 118s and 308s with Morgan DJ ing for a PROM party from 6pm till 10pm.
After this we are heading back into the city to help Declan from Audio Industry de rig a multi stage event.

Finally whilst the party is running with Morgan in Hyde, Darryl is sat in the hotel Starbucks blogging and working hard as per usual.

We currently have four 18s and two Axios 1 tops but we can announce there's two more tops and two more subs enroute. In a few months two more subs and one more amp will be ordered giving us 8 and 4 running at 22,000 watts approx.

With all these speakers you need to stock DJ equipment and mixing desks so we are one of a few companies in the North West who have in stock six , three mixers, an &Heath mixer, an &Heath mixer, one &HeathSQ5 mixing desk with stage box. We also have an older mixer and an &HeathPA20 mixer which are two items we just love to use when the situation arises.

We also stock , , , and FX so whatever your needs LPA can cover if for you from 50 people at a house party to 1200 people in a field or large venue.

We have invested heavily into the brand new boxes for maximum efficiency, usability and sound quality. HK Audio have improved the amp modules in all the Linear 5 range so that the DSP out factory presets allows the user to combine all of the speakers perfectly with each other.

We have four of the which is made up of many small horns of different sizes and lengths. Interfering horn resonances are pushed above the transmission range, which minimises THD and reduces distortion.

The eight subs we purchased to use under their are the new subs, these boxes allow us to set up in a cardioid way which attenuates the bass sound pressure of the physically spherically radiating subwoofers behind the subwoofers by up to 34 dB. There is a slight increase in sound pressure of approx. 2 dB in the front sound dispersion, this results in a directional, cardioid radiation pattern.

With all these speakers we can cater for mid sized events with two subs and one top per side, slightly bigger events with three subs and one top per side and with eight subs cardiod and four tops flown we can cover the larger live events with ease.

With the weather thankfully changing and the clocks now long adjusted we hope the sun will start to shine and put an end to all the rain we have had in the UK. Whilst that has been happening though, here at Lancashire PA Hire we've been spending the first quarter of 2024 looking after our customers plus we have been extra busy purchasing new stock allowing us to edit, update and improve the business throughout.

For this years weddings and smaller parties we have invested in numerous boxes from via our colleagues at who are the sole UK distributor for Next Audio group products.

For the smaller venue or house parties we can a supply two of the powered with two of their preprogrammed powered . This package also includes a 4x2 litedeck table for the &Heath CQ12T mixer to sit on alongside your laptop or mobile phone for music playback plus we include a pair of fusion 140 moving heads for a nice wash effect in the room.

If you have a slightly larger venue or home we can hire you the bigger system which comprises of two of the brand new subs with two more powered inch tops. This package comes with a larger litedeck 8x2 table allowing our &HeathCQ18T mixer to be used with your laptop or mobile phone for music playback and then two Kudos 2RE beam lights are added to the table for maximum effect.

We thought long and hard about what brands to move into after selling off all the Void Acoustics and we are pleased to say the move into NEXT Audiogroup, HK Audio and especially MM Acoustics Deutschland has certainly been the right decision.

Now the MM rig is here and is out on a job after landing in the UK one week before the Manchester marathon today we can categorically say they look and sound amazing.

MM Acoustics Deutschland called today to tell us our order is ready and is being shipped on Friday.

Next week we will have our brand new system on UK shores for the first time and we already have more boxes in the queue which will be en route very soon!

Easter weekend is nearly here and the workload is huge here at YPA.

A pair of CDJ 3000s and an A9 mixer are going to Rhyl on Saturday.

Four 10inch HK Audio tops, a pair of JTS mics and an Allen & Heath CQ12T mixer are all heading to Bacup for a boxing event over the weekend.

The unique LPA Pioneer gear spill case is out on hire Friday and Saturday night in Manchester.

Also on Saturday one galf of the HK Linear 5 is going to our colleagues at Audio Industry also in Manchester.

Another pair of CDJ 3000s are heading to Blackpools Underground club on Saturday night.

Half of our HK Audio Linear 5 is being dry hired for a boxing event in Burnley on Saturday.

Then on Sunday that half of our HK Audio Linear 5 system is going into Penny Black Bar with staging and a CQ18T mixing desk for another night of country.

Even more Pioneer gear is being sent to Sunbird Records on Sunday eve.

Last bit not least a NEXT Audio sound sustem and Pioneer decks and mixer is being squeezed into Burnleys Illuminati Bar.

More diversity means more breadth and depth of ideas and experience.

Of late I have made some major changes and major purchases for my new three year plan. This will take me to the start of 2027 with three brands instead of just one.

The Void Acoustics boxes and amplifiers I have bought, sold and hired over the past 20 years have been fun and fruitful and would probably keep going a little longer but I want new brands and new products for my business which I can’t obtain from as fast as i need them.

It took a few months to sell off the boxes which are now in Europe with their new hire companies but strangely all the new speakers I wanted have come from Germany, Portugal and Macedonia.

NEXT Audiogroup have been going since 1984 and have very very good products which are mainly &C driven, this is very appealing for a few reasons plus they are confidently sold to me by two very knowledgeable people they being Callum and Mike from AUX Import who I have trusted on lots of previous purchases and will continue to trust on any future purchases from their huge selection of stock that they hold as a company.

The first purchase last year was made as I couldn’t purchase the new Void boxes I wanted so after Andy Taylor from suggested I try it I swiftly bought a system to get me through live events in 2023. After using and hearing them for the season I flipped them for the and new because they have revised and improved their amp modules and added DSP.
I can with such ease tell you that this has been my best purchase for a long time, they are amazing to use and amazing to listen to on any event whether that be house, live or corporate.

Now then what can I say about MM Acoustics Deutschland well, my motto is if the Germans are buying it, it’s got to be good and trust me this system will impress you and will be exclusive in the UK for a while.
It has “that look” I want but with sound that surpasses the brand I used to adore.
The system crosses over at 90Hz and not 140Hz so the sound will be massively different to what you are used to from me and it has the image I want to stand out from the F1 boys and the Danley crew. I have six 18s and two with two amps being shipped soon plus four more subs, two more tops and another amp on back order.

I can safely say you will be blown away by its looks, sound and quality.

So remember Music produces a kind of pleasure that human nature cannot do without and trust me you will see, hear and feel the new systems I have brought to the North West of England for 2024 and beyond.

Today we got to enjoy our HK AudioLinear 5 LTA 308 MKll tops in a four point set up in the arena and all we can say is “wow” what a beautiful sound.

The client was amazed by the quality and so were we so here’s to day two of the equestrian show here in Livingston.

After a week of repairs in Bees Knees Darwen and Trilogy Nightclub Blackpool plus a patch panel rewire in the new Bees Knees Blackpool that left us with a shopping trip to do on Wednesday where we ordered lots and lots more neutrik XLR cabling from Prolight Concepts Group ready for all the new products that will soon be with us.

That brings us to todays job in hand where we have made the beautiful drive up to Scotland for a two day event in Livingston working alongside our colleagues SoVeryAPT where all of theHK Audio Linear 5 MKll 308s and Linear 5 MKll 112 xa tops plus four of the older PR:10 passive tops have been used in a six point set up for this weekends master class at the equestrian management agency.

Well we can now say that after 20 years of fun, all the Void Acoustics boxes have gone to new homes in Europe where it will be enjoyed for quite a few more years to come.

Our HK Audio front of house system is now complete but we need to add some monitors to it so we have ordered a handful of the new Linear 5 MKll 110 XAs for stage and DJ monitoring.

The NEXT Audiogroup speakers we already have are performing very well so the new powered 18s and more of the powered 12s have now been paid for.

Last but not least our MM Acoustics Deutschland front of house system is in its pre delivery inspection phase so we've emailed Marjan Milosevic this evening to say lets get two more 18s paid for and then we will be ordering two more tops at the start of May and the two more subs plus another amp asap.

Why do we invest so heavily every year you may ask? Well we don't want to be dragging our heels using kit that has had its day so it's time for new things and brand new products for our three year plan in the North West.
