One of the true icons of steam returns to full active service this weekend.

The magnificent A4 Sir Nigel Gresley will pass northbound through Hellifield tomorrow (Saturday) around 11am hauling her first mainline tour in many years.

Whilst she won’t stop with us it's a double-header of a day and Scots Guardsman will be visiting from 4.15pm until 4.30pm later on in the day.

We promised you this was the start of the summer of steam, we expect to be welcoming a lot of you so please stay safe on the platforms and bear with us at our busy periods we will be doing our upmost to keep everyone smiling!

This technology greatly improves are needs, I have had diabetes myself for 50 Years and understand all the difficulties with this disease lets make it a better one to control are Sugar levels to a healthy 6.4mmol or 115mg with Cycling, Running, Swimming and walking with a CGM on us!
