The weekend has landed and it's all about two jobs in the city which will keep us up all of Saturday and into the night.

It’s day one of the system refurb all the way up in the old Roman settlement of Maryport. The pub recently acquired by the AJP pub group had eight very tired and very much destroyed OHM Acoustics BR26 tops and no subs.

Darryl and Morgan have reconfigured the room and have fitted eight NEXT Audiogroup PFA8P tops courtesy of AUX Import which thankfully now make the venue sound so much better.

Tomorrow it’s time to drill holes through walls and route cables to fit an 18 inch sub and wire in and program the Symetrix Jupiter 4.

Tonight is open mic night, at The Tap Tavern so the team are trying out some of the drinks deals as they have access to the
AJP B and B.

With all the media hype on celebrity chefs at the minute, you won't of noticed the new hire stock we have ordered.

Marjan Milosevic of MM-Acoustics has a certain number of Mini Axios double eights in production, two of which are, of course, for us. We have sold all the Litedeck panels with the rails and purchased 12 sections of Aludeck, hand rails and steps for a multitude of live events this summer.

As we are inundated with festivals already, we have ordered a set of AKG Session 1 microphones and a ALLEN & HEATH DX168 96htz expander to run with our ALLEN & HEATH SQ5 desk.

We are looking forward to the events all over the North West with products like so get in touch if you need your event covering this year.

So that’s the weekend almost done as we have collected the HK system from Lancaster University and now we’re standing and listening to Jamie Fieldings closing set at St Mary's Chambers Rossendale for In The Valley.

This weekend has utilised lots of HK Audio speakers, ALLEN & HEATH mixers, AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ Global mixers and CDJs, our spill case, the new ALUSTAGE and JTS microphones.

Next week, welll let’s get some sleep first.

It's great to see the brands we buy to hire and install for customers at ISE Barcelona 2025. Sadly, Darryl Fraser and Morgan Vickery can't make it to see their suppliers this year, but we can still bring you news of the new products from the brands we like.

Last year we were taken to Barcelona by Ecler and AUX Import to learn about their new software and speakers. If you can"t get to ISE this year, and you want to hear an Ecler install fitted by Lancashire PA Hire Ltd then you can call into the Real Food Hall in Burnley town centre for food and great music on the -26 gold tops and the 15inch subs.

If it's HK Audio you're interested in then, we stock the version ll #308 tops and the subs plus the version two ten inch monitors. If you want to hear or hire these, you only need to call into Clitheroe for a listen.

For our smaller events we have NEXT Audiogroup and for you to listen to in the UK. We are waiting to listen to the new point source speaker which has been released at ISE but for now come and listen to a demo of our current NEXT Audiogroup stock.

Lastly MM-Acoustics don't have a stall in Barcelona but Marjan Milosevic is there visiting. You can maybe catch him at the show plus Mike Newman and Callum Bowran on the Ecler stand.

They said it's all over, well it is now.

After running to Clitheroe and Bolton on Friday with a couple of small sound systems where we used all of our NEXT Audiogroup 18s and 12s at two parties, one being Sams 18th and the other Jennys 21st, where they ran the music themselves.

That then left us to work alongside our colleagues from the Audio Industry where they asked us to run power distribution and lighting for two events at Secret Warehouse. D.O.D on Friday night was amazing then on Saturday it was all about Fumiya Tanaka. He played an amazing set solely on vinyl, so we will just leave you with some pictures from that night.

Here at Lancashire PA Hire we can cater for any type of event with a multitude of products to suit a variety of events.

On Friday we had a very important person to celebrate the life of in St Catherine's church near Clitheroe. Edna was a very popular person in the community and her 94 years had seen her be a teacher with a great character and a huge love for Paddington Bear and marmalade. We supplied sound and visuals for the church, and then we wirelessly linked all that to the hall over the road so that the audience could also see and hear the service.

Saturday was hectic to say the least, as we first set up a multitude of NEXT Audiogroup speakers along with an ALLEN & HEATH CQ18T mixer plus two JTS mics for Isobels dance competition. It's actually running today (Sunday) but time was of the essence.

Our friends from Bingo That's Bonkers dry hired four of our HK Audio Linear 5 MKll boxes to make sure their Leeds event went off with a bang, which it certainly did.

Then we called over to Detroit Preston to install four MM-Acoustics subs, two AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ Global CDJ 3000s and a AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ Global A9 mixer for Okezies and Izus afrobeat night. They love the MM-Acoustics M4.18 subs and, as they are in a mono block, it travels extremely well through the building.

Finally, Darryl Fraser sped down to The Tivoli in Buckley to set up two more AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ Global CJD 3000s and a AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ Global DJM A9 mixer to then host the night alongside Craig and Martin Kemp. The evening saw at least 650 customers turn up for a brilliant night of 80s classics.

Hers now to getting some rest and a marmalade sandwich.

They say January is a quiet month for most, but we have been pretty busy here at LPA. This week has had us doing amplifier upgrades and speaker repairs for the Bees Knees chain. Then we called into Real Food Hall where we made a couple of adjustments to their Ecler installation, we secured a small installation at a local gym where we will be using some Ecler and NEXT Audiogroup products for them. Last but not least, we are looking after two church services this month where we will be supplying HK Audio sound and visuals via LED tvs for congregations in a church near Clitheroe.

Stock wise, we have the MM-Acoustics Axios minis being built for us as we type and slowly but surely the stock we need to sell off is going to its new homes across the North West. At the end of this month, the party bookings have come in thick and fast, along with the dance show and the Martin Kemp event.

February is already looking busy, so here is to an exciting 2025.

NYE was very busy as we supplied a small NEXT Audiogroup sound system at The Resonance Centre - Manchester for Lulu, where she hosted another sober rave. At the same time, the team were at The Secret Warehouse alongside Audio Industry on Burstock St looking after Wearen0where for their very glamorous NYE party.

Now that we have seen 2025 and all the kit is back in stock, there are two Friday night parties to set up. We have a NEXT Audiogroup sound system set up in Burnely for Jacks 21st. He has his own friend DJing. Then we have more of the same NEXT boxes, comprising of two single 18s and two 12-inch tops set up in Darwen for Lees 18th where he has two of his friends DJing for him tonight.

Looking at January in general, we have quite a lot to do with two events in Detroit Preston, A Tech night in Blackpool, a dance show in Colne, an event at a local church and of course, Darryl will be supplying AlphaTheta/Pioneer DJ Global equipment and is doing his usual hosting duties at The Tivoli Venue Buckley warming up for Martin Kemp.

If you’re wondering what we are up to tonight, we are here in Manchester helping our friends at Audio Industry with an 800 cap venue. They needed CDJs mixers and a HK Audio system for monitors plus is to help build and run it.

New Year’s Day we will be de rigging here at 4am and then sleep somewhere !

"Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you're going to get"

In a way, that is how Darryl Fraser the sole owner of Lancashire PA Hire, thinks and runs the business.

This year we have had to deal with a copycat competitor trying to rip off our name, quite a few companies have had financial issues, and there is the usual wet weather taking out some of our equipment.

Darryl says,

Life is like a box of chocolates so just get on with what life throws at you, i can deal with it all in different ways. Just don't let it get you down. 2025 will be the usual invest invest invest mentality I have always had.

The new CDJ 3000 is being launched in March. I will have the brand-new MM-Acoustics Axios Minis by mid-March and I have also sold off all the Lite deck panels to buy the better, lighter ADJ staging panels to improve our stage build capabilities.

The high light for me this year was getting on a plane to meet the man who builds the boxes which makes LPA unique / niche, which is how I have always been and will be.

Take risks in life and bring something different to the table, as this is it, theirs no sequel or part ll so let the music produce the pleasure we humans cannot do without.
