Fun in the sun last week FLY Open Air in Edinburgh's Princes Street Gardens.
The event is on the main street in the city, so we needed to get crafty to keep good levels on the dancefloor and not on the shopping street above.
With bass frequencies being the main issue we decided to add some Danley Sound Labs BC218 subs behind the front of house position, time align and EQ them to match the output from the main sub array then knock them out of phase and cancel the sub coming from the dance floor on to the main street.
This kept the authorities happy and the dancers.

The lovely Peterborough Cathedral last week.
A big reverberant space like this needs a delicate deployment. We use multiple delays to reduce the distance from speaker to listener, which also lowers the overall spl from any 1 speaker so reduces the reverberant sound in the room.

The stunning 2024 edition of Riverside Festival Glasgow last weekend.
We deployed a Danley Sound Labs PA with ALLEN & HEATH Dlive at FoH and Outline Professional Audio Newton taking care of system matrix and processing.
Keeping our friends at Acoustics happy with the offsite limits due to Danley's incredible pattern control putting the audio where you want it and not where you don't.

Another edition of We Out Here Festival done and dusted.
We provided systems and engineers for Love Dancin’ and Main Stage, FoH PA from , both ends of the multi had S7000 desks from ALLEN & HEATH, lots of lovely new mics from DPA Microphones, thanks JP.

The new super analogue front end in Love Dancin’ worked seamlessly with the hifi front end provided by and .

We love a bit of variety at A-live and last week was no different.

From the OVO Hydro for TTF, to Bunnahabhain on Islay for Fèis Ìle whisky festival, to Southwell Minster and Blackburn cathedral, along with a couple of tours on the road, the local venue rentals, and an exhibition in the British Library.
Variety is the spice of life.
Audio variety is our forte.
