Hello Everyone!

Its been a while since we had an introduction again on here and in keeping with the current theme in our latest posts it felt only right for Mr Milo to join!

First and foremost we are a family business. It’s a really special thing to be able to work together.

A Little Bit of Loveliness is formed of a mother daughter dream team Gail & Debbie and a loveable Golden retriever puppy Milo who share a love of creating beautiful unique designs together.

Debbie is the creative mind behind the business who helps bring you ideas to life on screen then it moves to Gail who turns it into a reality in the studio!

Not forgetting Mr Milo is the perfect studio assistant and who always makes sure we know when a delivery has arrived!

We have now worked with over 250 couples and and always aiming to make our business better and better.

One Sunday a month we offer in person consultations with Debbie at our home studio in Coatbridge, this allows you to view all of our samples in person and get to see the quality of our work first hand. We welcome you to enjoy a glass of Prosecco or a cup of coffee while we chat!

The cows again were the perfect illustration for the table plan!

All of the illustrations where created by photos provided by the couple so everything is totally unique and custom to them this is what I mean why I say we want you to be involved in the design process as much as possible! Because when you are magical things can happen.

Continuting on from our lovely animal theme from the other day… how amazing is this design we created for Heather & Fraser last year! From the minute we got the brief for this one I was instantly excited! They both have their own incredible farm and they wanted to showcase their beautiful land and animals throughout the design.

We started with beautiful save the dates which featured their amazing cows! Then we continued the design through to the invitations with showed off more of their beautiful land.

All of the illustrations where created by photos provided by the couple so everything is totally unique and custom to them this is what I mean why I say we want you to be involved in the design process as much as possible! Because when you are magical things can happen.

One of my favourite designs from this year is is this stunning illustrated suite for Dawn & George, featuring their stunning hotel in all its Glory with special details throughout such as Dawn’s horse and animals from the farm. The envelope liner features the church where they were married with more views of the incredible landscape incorporated into the outside of the gatefold, the vellum belly and was the perfect way to finish this design with a mongram wax seal.

During our consultations one thing you will always hear me say is make the design as personal as you can, because these are the ones which always look the best in the end!

Such a busy few months in studio, we delighted to say we have had the busiest May and June to date, so many orders went out to so many amazing couples! There are so many incredible designs we can’t wait to share over the coming months!

Gatefold invitations have slowly but surely become our most popular layout option the gorgeous thing about this style is you have so much space to add design too! The outside and inside can have beautiful custom illustrations to help bring them to life!

This design is finished off perfectly with one of our printed bellybands, these can be customised in so many different ways with text colours and design elements 🤍

Dark dreamy landscape illustrations mixed with a rich envelope colours finished perfectly with a tartan liner is an absolute favourite of ours. When it comes to Save the Dates giving your guests as much notice as possible is key!  Typically Save the Dates are sent out 9-12 months before your big day.  If you are having a destination wedding we recommend sending these out even earlier! 12-18 months before your date to give your guests plenty of notice for  booking flights etc...  Again, this is why save the dates are so important! For weekday weddings, guests have to do a lot more planning to make sure they can be there to celebrate with you on your special day.  Our Save the Dates are A6 and can be customised in many different ways. Portrait or landscape, single or double sided why not set the tone of your wedding by giving your guests a glimpse of your colours, theme or even venue to get them excited about your big day. Our standard pricing includes the stunning coloured envelope and bespoke liner so your guests really do get the wow factor with your stationery from the start.   Did you know that your Save the Dates can also include early information about your big day? These can be double-sided at no extra cost!  This can be really useful and give your guests a head start with the booking process for accommodation or travel. It also gives them plenty of time to save so they can decide to make a weekend of it to celebrate with your further!

Today is our 5 year Anniversary! Did you know…We officially launched on Valentine’s Day 5 years ago. Over the last 5 years we have now done over 250 weddings and can honestly say we are so proud of how far we have come and excited to see where we go next. A simple yet classic colour palatte full of depth with the forest green accent colour which contrasts perfectly against the classic ivory. Finished perfectly with our stunning illustration in the envelope liner. We did a few small floral details to compliment Kirsty’d bouquet also! 🤍

Our Pink & Grey Collection… 🤍This romantic design is a little bit more special to me as it was for some close friends who were kind enough to ask me create the stationery for their big day. I was even lucky enough to be invited to their wedding as a guest and honestly the pride of seeing my stationery throughout their day was such am amazing feeling. From being handed the order of service as I sat in the church to siting down to my meal and seeing the tables finishes with my table stationery it really does show the impact stationery can have on the day! This design was inspired by Kirsty & Seans romantic blush and grey colour palette, if you look closely you can even see our illustration of the Boclair house Gazebo in the background.
