Eton mess, supposedly named after a pavlova that was due to be presented after a cricket match against Harrow became broken and disheveled.
It is one of the most perfect summer desserts and can be enjoyed by all manor of events including weddings, dinner parties, bbqs, or even just a tasty treat just because!

We love an action shot.
It’s quite rare to see any professional shots from a wedding, as often it is during the wedding breakfast where the photographer takes a well earned break and feasts on our delectable creations.
This is why we are so grateful for for sharing this with us, showcasing one of our delicious platters served to the table, with the couple clearly enjoying and savouring the moment.

Our sweet cart has had a few adventures out and about lately including an 80th birthday party, and a corporate festival.
The sweet cart can have sweets and jars included, or can be hired ready to be adorned with your own sweet treats and decor.

Buffets
We have been catering for many buffets recently and the beauty of our menus is we can make them completely bespoke to your requirements.
This buffet requested our signature sponge cake, which we present in bite size pieces and adorned with fresh strawberries.

Chicken and seafood paella from a recent tipi wedding on a beautiful summers day!
Other options including vegetarian and just seafood were also available.
The colours and flavours this dish creates are just amazing!

Wedding breakfast platter
You all know our views on grazing platters… meat touching veg, people touching food, left out, it’s a no from us personally, however this is the perfect solution! The cured meats are served on a seperate platter, and also a bountiful of breads and chutneys are provided. This way only the guests of the table are touching the platters, and less mixing of the food in general. This gets a big thumbs up from us and… have to admit… it looks pretty

Summer in a dessert!
Mango and passion fruit panacota.
This bowl of deliciousness can be a single dessert, or as another couple have chosen, to feature as part of a trio.
Think p**n star martini without the alcohol. It’s light, fresh, creamy and really makes you go “mmmmmmm”

Sometimes it can be all too hard to make that desert decision, so why not have the best of 3 worlds!
This trio features our renowned triple chocolate brownie, lemon tart, and raspberry and white chocolate cheese cake… what’s not to like?

A hog roast buffet is still one of our most popular menu options. This can be served both inside and out.
It is slow roasted in our specialised hog roast machines over many hours to create the most perfect crackling. It is then hand carved as each guest makes their way to the buffet station. Accompanied by an array of salads including Greek, coleslaw, and potato.
It really is a crowd pleaser when feeding your guests!

Something a little different for yesterdays starter. A trio of dim sum. These were requested by the couple and we were only too happy to oblige. These little balls of deliciousness, were very well received.

Colours
We just love the colours of this starter… mozerella, tomato and nut free pesto salad. A starter which is quite simple, yet with all the flavours!

Happy anniversary to us…. Sarah and Adam!
We’ve been married 6 years now. One piece of advice I would give for married life is to just love each other in all that you do. People often ask how do we live and work together… and the truth is it’s not always easy, or natural..but we believe in us and what we’re doing, so it just works….. most of time. ❤️

We are lost for words. Having seen first hand how hard this family have worked for their business out of pure love, for it to come to this?! Everyone who goes to Stock Street Farm Barn falls in love with the barns charm and is welcomed by Michael and his family like old friends. We are truly devastated with this outcome.

Mini loaves!
Did you know we make our own bread for the tables for our weddings?! And they are super tasty too. Guests always comment on how cute they are, and what are great little addition they make.

We’re always wanting to support more independent businesses and use products that are as natural as possible which recently has lead us to using . This butter contains no additives, preservatives or colouring. Literally just cream! The company is also still using the same processes to produce and churn the butter that they have for years!
Not only all this, but it tastes blooming delicious, and the individual butter portions allows for less butter wastage when being used at weddings/events!

These bite sized pieces of deliciousness were too good not to have their own square!

Lemon tarts
Raspberry tarts
All made in house!
These were served to the tables on platters with vegan guests having their own board, also consisting of brownie, cheese cake and lemon tart.

Our horse box pizza trailer renovations are complete!
This is such a great space, and we’re able to do more than just pizza with the oven also.
This provides a great aesthetic for any event… but not only does it look good, it tastes amazing with our hand rolled, stone baked pizzas.

Brunch platter!
These pictures capture only part of what this whole brunch package included. There was also bread sticks, fresh breads, olives, stuffed peppers, cheese and more.
I was lucky enough to hand deliver this to the bride and her bridal party the morning of the wedding, and it was lovely to see there excitement for the day ahead.

It’s pancake day!!
Here is a quick and easy recipe you may like to try…
100g plain flour
2 large eggs
300ml milk
A dash of sugar in the mixture to personal taste
Mix it all up, we use a hand held blender but a whisk is fine.
Medium heat, bit of coconut or olive oil and ta da!!
These pancakes are topped with organic yoghurt, blueberries, raspberries and chia seeds. But I know my children’s choice will be chocolate spread all the way

Working with such awesome local suppliers and a really lovely couple, honestly makes our job so easy and such a pleasure. Hannah and Andy. We have been working with you towards your wedding nearly 2 years. Having to negate a venue cancelling your big day is perhaps one of the hardest things any couple planning a wedding has to face. Thankfully @houchinsweddings came to the rescue and honoured all bookings with this couples suppliers, which is very kind of them. The delighted couple chose canapés including savoury profiteroles (these are our surprise canapé. When people try them, they adore them), scallops with bacon, mini sausages, tomato mozerella and basil skewers, and the classic roasted beef in mini yorkie. This was followed by a sharing platter of baked Camembert. For main, they chose roasted chicken supreme, and dessert was a choice between white chocolate cheese cake or apple and fruit crumble. For the evening, of course our pizza trailer came out to play! We’re so happy that H&A finally had the day they had Been dreaming of. But don’t worry… you’ve got this! It can suddenly feel very overwhelming and pushed for time but I assure you you… you have time. Just ensure you have the “main” suppliers booked including the venue, photographer, caterer, hair and makeup. Everything will fall into place. Perhaps create a time line if when you would like things to be finished by. Do remember to delegate some tasks if possible. At Coggeshall Catering, we will do all we can to ensure the planning stage be as smooth as possible and we are always here to answer any of questions.. even if they’re not catering related.

Having originally having their wedding cancelled at another venue, they were determined to go ahead with their original date and to still have us cater. Yesterday we celebrated the glorious wedding of Barnaby and Alice! The venue looked stunning and the platters were very well received. Wishing you all the best as you start on your new adventure as mr and Mrs.
Crevettes sizzling away.
Had a great lunch time catering for the teachers and teaching staff at our children’s primary school. This is the main charity we like to support. Rather than the schools charity spend money on the teachers end of term treat, we offered to cater at no cost, as we want the school to benefit from as much of the raised funds as possible, Especially as schools are terribly underfunded now. Teachers use so much of their own personal resources and funds to teach our children. This is just our way of saying a massive thank you, and we appreciate everything they do.
Congratulations to R and A! The venue smelt divine as it was filled with Jo Malone candles. We love the elegance, yet cosy atmosphere that this theme created. (It won’t let me share the reel I made on Instagram to Facebook... still learning)
It’s not often we’re able to get Adam and the team in action. It was an exceptionally hot day, even more so by the bbqs, but we just love doing what we do! The thrill and excitement during and after an event is immense! Massive thank you to @miniandmephotography for capturing this for us!
