This year will always have a special place in my heart because it marked a year of change for my little business. Full of hard work; meaningful relationships and fantastic opportunity.

Tonight our shoot features in the latest edition of ‘An Essex Wedding’!! A huge congratulations to the team who brought this outdoor, romantic vision to life🍃

This shoot showcased the beauty of an outdoor ceremony and with civil ceremonies in particular becoming more and more popular. We hope it offers some inspiration to those of you who potentially got married during the pandemic with only 2 witnesses, or perhaps those who are residents in another country and decide to bring the party element of your day to the British countryside!

Some of my favourite things about civil ceremonies:
💚as pictured, you can write your own vows encased in a delicate booklet created by
💚often friends can lead the ceremony as opposed to an official registrar/pastor
💚they’re often more relaxed because the ‘legal bit’ is already complete
💚it can be as long or as short as you want. For some of you who don’t like the idea of being centre of attention, short and sweet works a treat but for others of you who have guests flying from around the world to be with you, it allows you to enjoy the memories you’re creating a little more and be innovative with what your ceremony structure includes!

Working as part of a team that creates something like just out of a movie🖼

Sometimes you’ve got to trust your heart over your head, because you end up with something as strikingly beautiful as this!

Couple portraits in rowing boats have been more and more popular this wedding season and I’m loving the bravery🚣‍♂️

AND this shoot at the picturesque is going to feature in the November/December edition of the Essex Wedding magazine later this week😆 !

“Lorna was our on the day coordinator and we couldn’t be more grateful!! She was so friendly and was as excited for the day as we were. She clearly loves what she does and is incredibly professional, she really knows her field.

Lorna helped us with the things we did know, the things we weren’t sure about and the things we didn’t know at all. She was there in the weeks before hand and spoke with all suppliers and then took full control on the day in the best way and we didn’t have to think of a thing! Honestly couldn’t speak of her highly enough. Thank you Lorna!!”

Excitingly, I have now scheduled and drafted enough blog posts to see me through to the end of 2023!

When I rebranded, I set myself the task of writing two blogs a month and so far…I’ve held myself accountable and brought two new topics to your screens every month. I’m keen to keep this going and so I thought what better way to find out what you want to read about than asking you directly. Have your say.

I will continue to bring as much knowledge, advice and guidance as I can to my blog but if there’s any burning questions you have; there’s a trend you’d like to be discussed or anything in particular you would like myself and/or other wedding and event professionals to acknowledge, this is your time to let me know!

Marquee events aren’t just for summer!

Although the nights are pulling in now we’ve welcomed October, it just calls for a fire pit, s’mores and blankets to be incorporated into your event day to ensure your guests still have a great experience🍡

Perhaps the smartest looking pair I have ever had the privilege of working with on behalf of 🧑‍✈️

Both T&R are pictured here in their 1st choice of wedding formalwear in front of the gorgeous house . They then both had a change of attire when it came to partying on their wedding day🕺🏼.

As a coordinator, my job is both proactive and reactive to ensure everything on the day itself goes as smoothly as possible; with that, often comes the responsibility of being handed various wedding attire. Usually it’s the veil but in this instance it was Rhys’ work gloves and hat which he proudly wore for their first dance, creating some more epic photo opportunities for Amy!
