Pencil art sugar dahlia is one of my favourites, with its creamy white petals and the purple pin stripes running through the petals.

Gurrrrrd morning! So as I'm in the process of transforming 18 flower beds into one long strip I've gained extra space from the paths in between. The ground is compact and solid... as it's been so dry it's been a bu**er to dig over the summer. I've utilised my collection of never-ending unwanted grass to help retain moisture in the soil by dumping it on the paths. This way I don't need to wait for the rain and voila I can dig!

DAHLIAS... holy moly, it's been a while! So much for my New Year's resolution to post more on socials... but there is always next year! 😂🫠

Dahlias are coming, yes they are late to the party, but life happens, and they were planted late.... however, they are growing so much better than last year's crop!
I can't wait to share with you the varieties I have this year!

🎃 Pumpkins and squash - these are just some of the varieties I'm growing this year, and oh my they are not disappointing me so far... first year growing these en mass and I'm super excited! 👌 🤗 🎃

A little different to flowers, however, he deserves a space on the grid!
As I'm walking past the goat's willow, brushing my hands against the leaves, I find not only one but TWO of these adorable-looking plant-destroying beasts that turn into a puss moth, yes they are native to the UK, but i haven't seen them before. So here we are... so annoyingly cute! 🥹

Here she comes...
Truth be told, I struggle to grow sunflowers 🫠, this one is at my allotment where it's thrived, and I have a wholesome 3 there! 😂 the ones at Ardleigh are another story! They never want to grow above my knee! However this variety, I tried to grow last year, but then the slugs ate them, this year I've been rewarded with 3 good stems and plenty of bud vase stems!
There's always next year! 🥲

Darwin Golden Parade, yellow green combo 💛 with tall sturdy stems. I was a little dubious at first, but its creamy yellow with a green tinge is a winner for me. 😍

A premium order went out today, consisting of la belle epoque, silk road, and ultra long anemones... which makes a pretty special combination! And what makes this even better is that no chemicals have been involved in the making of these beautiful flowers.
I am in love with these tones! 😍
