Please excuse the rubbish photo, but look! The lisianthus has a flower bud! πŸ₯³πŸ₯³πŸ₯³ November started. Now, to see how they flower and then if all is well plan them for next year in larger quantities πŸ€—.
If you are thinking of growing these for next year, be warned ⚠️ you must have patience πŸ˜‚

So today I did a thing.... supplying fresh cut bouquets at the shell garage in , the flowers came from my flower patch, along with and who also grow locally and who I work closely with.

I also provided some jamjar posies to Langham Local Community shop, where
Sweetpeas adorn the jars, and the scent will blow your socks off! 🀀

This has been a tough season for flowers, where things have been really, really slow and even non-existent. So it's lovely to have fellow local flower growers to lend a help in hand. πŸ₯°

Wrinkled cress, second sucession... I've become more aware that people have never heard of this hardy annual wrinkled cress, which absolutely astounds me! I've attempted to cut when it's in flower, but I haven't been successful without wilting.
HOWEVER, the perfect time to cut these, is when the seed pods have fully formed and no flowers are visible, they give an amazing texture in any floral arrangement, and what makes it even more special is that it's amazing to dry. 😍 These will be ready to harvest in about a weeks time, see if you can spot them in the flower arrangements I'm going to be making, and tell me what you think... πŸ€”

So.... do you remember the lisianthus I germinated in November? Well, here they are! Out of the 36, I sowed 20 survived.... I'll take that! I'm hoping they will continue to get taller... if they are a success.... back they will come next year!
These are renoun for being awkward buggers! They stay teeny for a good three months and then start to spread their wings once planted out! They take around 9 months to flower πŸ₯΄, so they should be ready.... at the end of the season! πŸ˜‚ limited availability πŸ˜…
Any tips on how I can get them sooner would be grand!

The scabosia gigantia have started to burst open! These were sown from seed last year, and they are all doing amazing!
And as for the Lupins... they are coming back to life again after almost killing them with too much love! πŸ™„ I'm hoping they'll continue to flower throughout the season as they did last year, as long as I keep dead heading down the stem, they should continue to thrive πŸ˜‰

I AM IN LOVE! All my my roses are first year beginners. Therefore, I should be debudding them to create a stronger root system for the next year, some I've left as my curiosity got the better of me, but once I've seen the first flower.... OFF WITH ITS HEAD!
I think it's a winner! Shame. I've lost the tag! πŸ™ˆ (story of my life).
P.S. more roses will be getting planted in the fall... 😬

What's flowering and budding on the patch this week... the Ammi, achillea mollis, scabosia, allium, and verbena are on their merry way, budding up nicely. If the weather stays nice and sunny, I'm hopeful they will be in flower next week!

The sweet william, Lupins, Salvia, and bachelor buttons are flowering away!
If anyone needs any flowers for next week, please let me know ASAP.

Well I think I have found my favourite plant nursery of all time! It's called just plants and landscapes, nothing more than Β£10 and established plants 3 for Β£10! Not only this, but they also do a decent knock-off at the end! Most plants are grown by themselves. Initially, I was going to open for only one week to the public, but due to high demand, they are now open to the public until October! A lovely family run wholesale plant nursery! they will even do a wholesale order ready for pick up at planting time! This is in on harwich road, just look for the caravan sign and turn in. You might even be lucky enough to be greeted by this lovely man who loves a loofah! πŸ˜‚ oh, and I forgot to mention, DOGS ARE WELCOME!

This year's tulips selection was quite random, from dreamy creams, greens and whites, to bright pinks, reds, and yellows. My returning favourites for next year will be, Think pink (which has now sold out), Dolls minuet (last few remaining), exotic emperor (the first to go) and Apricot parrot (which turned out to be a different variety!). I am going to be expanding my tulip selection next year, as well as the narcissus, as the demand for these beautiful spring flowers has been quite high this season!
The lupins are covered in flower heads, which look bloody amazing! Let's hope they continue to thrive where they are!

I'm feeling a little bit excited about receiving these πŸ˜πŸ€—, breathe in........... out....... 😢. I've been given an amazing opportunity to grow these over here, and see how they fair in the soil I grow in. These zinnias I will be direct sowing into the ground, unlike my other ones I've pre sprouted. And as for the celosia, well..... I'm going to try to focus on seed saving this year to produce copious flowers for next year! (Hopefully).
