An intimate and stylish black tie wedding ceremony and reception for G&W at @theoldparishrooms followed by celebrations @essex_yacht_club Cover photo credit @awhittinghamphotog Georgia contacted me in November last year. With less than a year until her’s and Will’s celebrations, they wanted assistance in designing and styling their wedding ceremony and afternoon reception. Knowing the design and aesthetics were important, we discussed how my services would support them in achieving their vision, and within a few days they’d booked my on the day styling service and chosen a selection of elegant decorations to complement to their design. In February of this year, 7 months ahead, Georgia and Will visited me at PSQ to trial their ideas, discuss colours and finalise their choices. They chose centrepieces, picked a complementary combination of charger plates, napkins and coloured glassware and selected candles in colours to complement their bridesmaid dresses and florals. As part of the process, I prepared a vision board and drafted a styling plan to ensure each and every element of their thoughtful plans were executed both before and after the ceremony. During one of our styling consultations, Georgia talked me through the stationery she’d designed and had professionally printed. There were three printed boards; a wedding welcome, an order of the day and a table plan. Each guest had a simple tent folded place card with a Polaroid photo capturing a memory between Georgia, Will and their guest. We discussed how best to display the photos at each place setting and agreed on tucking into a pocket folded napkin. Continues in comments…

This morning I’ve delivered a small order of furniture and table top styling props to @retreateast for a wedding @oneoakeweddings is planning and coordinating. The poseur tables, seen at the start of this video are a popular addition to marquee and country house wedding hire orders. Great for welcome drinks outside or next to your dance floor, they’re nice enough to use as they are or can be covered with a full length or gathered cloth. (These tables are off to @stosythprioryestate next week so I’ll grab a photo with the cloths on) Next, it was back to the store to prep next weeks orders. A quick count of the napkins and picking the larger items to be prepped and packed. Lastly, a quick hello with the team @hillsselfstorageuk and a chat with @wesleylaingproductions and @littleleessweeties in the reception of Hills before getting on with some admin. Collaborating on the design and styling of the decorative elements with @thebotanicalshed was fantastic; it’s been a while, so really lovely to get the chance to work together again and creative something special and unique, with such a lovely spring feel and pretty colour palette. The sequin backdrop and neon sign combo was a hit, as was Louise’s gorgeous floral topper across the alcove. There’s nothing I love more than showing clients and supplier friends the collection I’ve curated and maintained over the last few years. Having a hire collection is a labour of love; constant cleaning, tidying, sorting, packing and unpacking then add on safely delivering items to venues in a timely and reliable fashion, well packed and in pristine condition. Protecting my inventory and keeping it looking it’s best is so important to me. Avoiding wear and tear and breakages comes from experience. I’m careful to use the right storage, packing materials and the correct vehicle for transportation. Today I’ve had the pleasure of welcoming @sbcake_atelier and @kerryannscakeboutique to the PSQ prop store to view my collection. I have visits booked with @amae.events and 2024 couples tomorrow and Sunday. The kettle is on, shelves are stocked and floor is swept. Will I see you soon? Victoria

I’ll be closed over the Christmas period but I’ve prepared brochures and organised scheduler links to be automatically sent when I get new enquiries, so you can book a free call or make an appointment to visit me in-person at the prop store in the new year. Here’s how to make an enquiry whilst the office is closed: Complete the contact form on my website; either the hire or styling form. Check your email / junk mail for an automated response to say your enquiry has been received. This will be sent within 24 hours of your enquiry being received after your event date has been checked for availability. My clever system will then send a scheduler link and you can choose to book your preferred appointment - check junk just in case! Pick your preferred appointment date and time from the available options. Remember, calls are free, in person appointments are charged at £30 for a 45-minute consultation. You’ll get plenty of tips and advice during this consultation - it is an investment. I look forward to speaking with you in January!
