For this special day, we also repurposed the pew end flowers to decorate the reception guest tables, with the Moon-gate making a show-stopping appearance behind the top table after the ceremony.

Our Luxury Christmas Wreath Workshops are a fabulous way to start the festive season off. Bring your friends/family and have a fun filled morning or afternoon filled with the scents of Christmas.

Our Christmas workshops are held at our beautiful studio on Mersea Island.

Our workshops are full of fun, with expert tuition from Felicity, our award winning florist and we use the finest and freshest foliages, dried materials, pinecones, dried fruits, baubles & ribbons so you can create your own individual piece of floral magic to dress your home with.

All materials and tools will be provided. The workshop is for approximately 2 1/2 hours and you will learn how to moss up a wreath, attach a mix of seasonal foliages so that you create a beautifully domed and lush shape, then adorn your creation with all the festive trimmings 🤶🏻

There will be refreshments of tea and coffee with a range of delicious cakes and biscuits from the wonderful Raluca of Luca’s Cakes.

There are multiple dates and times available.

Our Sustainability Journey - Update 🍃
 
We have always integrated sustainability into the way in which we work with our couples, looking to reduce the impact of the materials we use, as well as building a network of trusted suppliers and partners that are aligned to our thinking and business ethos.

In the last three years, we have accelerated this journey by pushing forward the pace at which we have implemented change in all of our working practices as the availability of new sustainable materials has allowed – whilst adopting this new accelerated approach it was essential that we were able to continue to provide the very best products for our floral designs and installations. We no longer use non-recyclablematerials – such as cellophane, non-bio degradable oasis foam or materials. Moving forward, our intention is to use more locally grown and sourced seasonal flowers when available, reducing the volume of waste that goes to landfill, recycling as much as possible and expanding the use of sustainable energy and other products as they enter the market.

Finally, we will continue to plant a tree – through recognised and approved sustainable schemes for each of our couples.

Building upon the principles that I have long held, joining the Sustainable Wedding Alliance seemed to be the next step on our journey and over the next few months we will be working with the Alliance to implement further changes, enhance our knowledge of best market practices and formalize our standards through their accreditation.

This is a really exciting time for the team at Amega Fleur, so watch this space.

I was so excited to be invited to take part in the global floral phenomenon Fleurs De Villes with English Heritage at Eltham Palace earlier this year and was absolutely blown away by the love and support of the FDV team, fellow floral artists and the general public. To top that off we were awarded 2nd place for Best in Show AND Florists Choice, then 3rd place voted by the General Public. This was incredible and an amazing opportunity for us as floral designers and we loved every moment. But then this happened …. I was interviewed for the Fleurs De Villes ‘Rendez-Vouz’ Journal, a global online magazine which is at the forefront of promoting and supporting floral art globally.
