Just a stone’s throw from the venue is the beautifully restored and decorated 16th century farmhouse and Honeymoon Lodge. The farmhouse sleeps up to 14 people in style and comfort with fluffy white towels, complimentary toiletries, fresh cotton sheets and a continental style breakfast all included to round off your stay.

The nearby Honeymoon Lodge has an en-suite walk-in shower, is stocked with chilled champagne, OJ and delicious chocolates for late night munchies. A Nespresso coffee machine awaits you in the morning. And of course, a super king size bed to get lost in! ⁠

With large glass doors opening onto the terrace and wedding garden, the scene is set for the celebrations to begin! Enjoy reception drinks from our new Terrace Bar (weather permitting), play games in the garden, get some special photos or just mingle amongst your friends.

We also pride ourselves on our flexibility and friendly staff. Should the weather be unkind, the bar area and Foundry can easily accommodate your guests and flows seamlessly into the Grain Store for your wedding breakfast.

1. Live Music... whether it's a band, DJ, saxophonist or solo singer live music is always a great way to get everybody dancing! (We have some fantastic options on our preferred supplier list)

2. Food, glorious food... Let's be honest, after a few hours on the dancefloor there's nothing better than a delicious bite to eat! There is SO many options. Pizza, BBQ, Toasties the list goes on. (Check out our preferred suppliers list for all of the wonderful companies we recommend)

3. Outfit change... Some brides / grooms decide to add some glitz and glam to their evening with a second outfit. Why not, hey? It's your day, so do what makes you happy!

Hooray for love and sustainability at Houchins! 🌻 These beautiful weddings where made even more special with eco-friendly confetti. At Houchins, we believe in protecting our planet while creating unforgettable moments. Our venue is designed with sustainability in mind, that's why we only allow real or dried petal confetti. ⁠We also have a wonderful addition to our preferred suppliers list who specialise in repurposing pre-loved flowers into confetti with all profits to charity 🩷⁠

✨Encouraging our recommended caterers to source ‘locally’ as much as possible⁠
✨Recycling our waste⁠
✨Reducing waste from all of our suppliers⁠
✨Encouraging our couples to bring less packaging where possible⁠
✨All lighting in the venue is low voltage⁠

Our biggest single environmental initiative has been to heat the venue using a ‘water source heat pump’ meaning that the heating of the venue is almost completely carbon neutral.🔥⁠
