Alright, it’s probably about time I showed my face here again 👋 If you’re a new follower, welcome! I’m Nigel, the guy behind Wild Blue Wedding Films 🎥.

I’ve been married to for a fair few years now, and we’ve got two little ones keeping us on our toes. Being married and having a family has really made me appreciate what weddings are all about.. real, honest moments that actually matter. That’s what I love most about filming weddings.. capturing the little things that mean the world.

When I’m not out filming, you’ll usually find me playing guitar with 🎸 or running around after the kids (who, let’s be honest, have way more energy than me).

As 2024 comes to a close, I just want to say thank you.

2023 was the year I feel like I burned out completely. By the end of it, I took a leap of faith and started this business… a scary step, but one I’m so grateful for.

2024 has been the year I rediscovered who I am. I’ve always doubted my creativity but this year reminded me that stories whether in a song or a wedding… are what really move me.

To every couple who booked me or even just reached out… thank you. You helped me provide for my family, be more present for my children and build something I’m proud of.

I’ll be wrapping up this year by filming my final wedding of 2024 on Monday, just before Christmas… and I couldn’t think of a better way to close it out!

Here’s to 2025… a year of more stories, more love, and even bigger dreams! Thank you for being part of this journey.

Back in August, we had the privilege of filming Beth & Michael’s stunning wedding at Hillmount House in Larne. It was our first time at this incredible venue, and we were blown away by how well-equipped and charming it was! Here’s a little sneak peek of their special day as I finish up the final touches on their films, which I can’t wait to deliver this week.

Allow me to introduce myself! My name’s Nigel Elliott. You might often find me with a guitar in hand—playing with and or sharing solo tunes . But my other passion? Filmmaking!

I first picked up a camera around the age of 12 or 13, making skate videos with friends. As time went on, and my skateboarding days dwindled, I ventured into some commercial work.

Having been around the wedding industry for about 10 years, I’ve witnessed every part of the wedding day. Being a happily married father of two amazing kids with has deepened my appreciation for what marriage truly means. At Wild Blue Wedding Films, my goal is not just to film your day but to tell your story, leaving you with cinematic memories to cherish forever.

Starting Wild Blue was a bit of a leap for me—I’m generally cautious, so it was probably the most cautious risk I’ve ever taken. It’s been an incredible journey so far, and I can’t wait to connect and bring your unique stories to life!
