Good moring my flowery friends!!! I'm back and flat to the mat after following The Boss from Cardiff to Belfast!!! Awesome time!!! So it's quite apt that we're now entering the period called the 'hungry gap' in the flower season. The early spring blooms have faded and the summer flowers have yet to come into full swing.
However, the cutting beds are thriving, showing 40 shades of green!!! (but that's another totally different song lol!!).
So stay tuned for updates and get ready for a blooming good time once the summer flowers join the party!

Simple is best some times …. Passata jars are perfect for spring daffodils and narcissi…. Love a big beetroot jar too but don’t get as many of them!! Do you have a favourite jar that doesn’t get to the recycle bin????
Now fresh seed, fresh shoots and mice pretty much go hand in hand!!! I totally get it mices!!!! I understand the longing for that first tasty bite!!!So here at Drumcroone I’m pretty relaxed… they’ll do a bit of eating… I’ll repair/resow and eventually they usually leave the shoots alone. BUT THEY TRAMPLED THROUGH THE WHOLE TRAY OF JUST GERMINATED COVENT GARDEN GYP!!!! LIKE GUYS!!! COME ON!!!! So I’m afraid the little holiday suitcase is out ….
