When is the right time to send your Save the Date?

There's a wide variation of opinion with this one🤔 but we recommend anywhere between 8 months to 1year.

Things to consider are the time of year, summer months or holiday periods🌞🏖 are best sent early to allow your guests to plan or if you have guests travelling from a bit further away again send your Save the Date a bit earlier to allow for flights and hotel bookings etc

When it comes to information, it's OK to keep it simple and just include the essential details your guests need to pencil your date in their diary 📅 with a formal invitation with all details to follow👰‍♂️🤵

Invitation Details🖋

During your consultation there will be loads to chat about, design/style of your wedding invitation usually being the main topic of conversation 💐⚘️

Once the design brief has been agreed it's down to the nitty gritty of the details, something that always has to be chatted about is whether to hand write your guest names or have them printed.

Opinions vary with some couples thinking handwritten🖋 is more personal with printed guest names giving a neater finish to the invitation👌

Another option is to have your invitation generic with no guests names, but be careful with this choice as it can lead to confusion as it won't be clear who is actually invited, parents and kids, guest + one🤷‍♀️ this will make it difficult to order meals with your venue🍽

L o r n a & I a n👰‍♂️🤵

We love working with all our couples but there was a bit of a funny back story when working with Lorna and Ian🤣

Lorna came to her first consultation with her friend who recommended us after we had printed her wedding stationery the previous year😘

We all chatted away getting ideas about their likes/dislikes and it wasn't until I was getting full name details that I said to Lorna "oh I went to school with a girl of that name" crazy that we hadn't seen each other in like 30years and didn't recognise each other at all😲

We did some laughing and chatting that day more about old times at school than stationery 🤣 but we got there in the end with the invitations as well🙌..it just goes to show, you never know who walks through your doors🥰

We wish Lorna and Ian every happiness in their new married life 💞
