The Sweetest Thing Cakery

𝗔 𝘀𝗼𝗴𝗴𝘆 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗱𝗲𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 Trawden Celtic FC 𝗟𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗲𝘀 (𝗮𝗸𝗮 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗭𝗲-𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘀) 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆! 🦓💪

The first 20 minutes showed a few understandable nerves, but once we settled in, confidence started to flow and it could’ve easily been level at half-time. A couple of cracking goals from the opposition (and a monsoon-level downpour) made the second half tough, finishing 1–5.

But what a moment... Stacey grabbing the first-ever goal in Ze-bras history! 🎯👏

And a massive shoutout to those who played their first-ever competitive game today! You absolute legends.

This is just the beginning, and what a foundation to build from.

Proud to be part of it doesn’t even cover it. 🖤❤️🦓

The Mighty Ze-bras have been training hard both on and off the pitch (namely at Trawden Arms Community Pub & the Thatch🙈) and the ladies are primed and ready for their history-making first-ever game for

Will I be taking photos? Maybe! Will I be playing? Definitely!

so, 2pm kick off at Trawden Rec tomorrow! Sod what the weather does! You need to be there to see this!!!

The excitement is bubbling for Sunday’s fixture as Trawden Celtic Ladies play their first ever game! ⚽️🦓

𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝘄𝗿𝗮𝗽 𝘂𝗽 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸! 🚴‍♀️📸

This morning I was at Helmshore Primary School, capturing fresh new images for Go Velo’s website and socials as they delivered the Bikeability course to year 6 .

The kids were brilliant! Full of energy and smiles and to top it off, we even had a visit from Rossendale and Darwen Andy MacNae MP, who was totally game and hopped on a bike to join in the fun. 👏

One of the reasons I headed up to Kirkby Lonsdale last week (aside from a little countryside therapy 😅) was because I needed some fresh fruit and veg for my Milk & Honey Food Photography project.

DC Fruit & Veg kindly came to the rescue, and here are a few of the images I created 🍐🍋🍅

I’m planning to sell these as prints, framed pieces, canvases or aluminium wall art which would be perfect for homes, cafés, restaurants, pubs or anyone who loves a splash of colour and texture in their space.

I’m also offering bespoke commissions, so businesses can feature their own ingredients, products or brand in beautiful, eye-catching wall art.

I’d really love your thoughts. What do you think works best, and how would you market something like this (as that's not my forte 🙈)?

Thursday, with my Milk & Honey Food Photography hat on, I had the most brilliant morning in the company of the market traders at Kirkby Lonsdale Charter Market 🧺✨

This lovely market has been part of Kirkby Lonsdale life since it was granted its charter in 1227 (yes, you read that right, nearly 800 years!). Every Thursday, the town square fills with colour, chatter, and some seriously good food, drink, and handmade treasures.

Here are just a few of the fabulous traders I spent time with from the foodie side of things and beyond:

DC Fruit & Veg – Big thanks to Dom, the market manager! 🍎 Fabulous fresh fruit and veg, and if he doesn’t have it, he’ll find it for you. He’s at Skipton Market today! Looking forward to getting my fruit & veggies for next week's shoot, Dom! 😉

Some Fin Fishy – Fresh fish straight from the docks, top quality every time. 🐟

Lovingly Artisan Bakery – Beautiful handmade bakery treats full of natural ingredients and love. Find them at Kendal Farmers Market & Altrincham too. ❤️

Italian Food Dal Fiorentinon – Italian street food at its best. Leonardo, originally from Florence, creates the most delicious artisan flatbread wraps. 🇮🇹

Westmoreland Drinks – Flavoured gin, whisky, rum and more, all made with natural fruits and ingredients. Perfect for gifts, wedding favours or simply indulging as the nights draw in. 🥃

Today I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the Colne F.C. / Colne FC Ladies & Girls / Colne FC Juniors Round Robin Family Fun Day at the Haffners Eats Stadium and wow, what an atmosphere 🔥

From laughter on the sidelines to friendly rivalries on the pitch and the fabulous Peacock’s Plumes team taking the win (that's who I played for 😉)👀⚽️ It was a perfect mix of football, family and community spirit. ❤️

Days like this are why I love what I do: capturing real moments, real energy, and the heart of the community both on and off the pitch.
