Emily Whitlock took the Colwyn Classic 2023 title in a highly entertaining match against Katie Malliff on Saturday afternoon 👏 Katie is definitely one to watch as she climbs higher and higher up the rankings on the professional squash tour. It was a pleasure to have her family come to watch her play as well - with some participation in the Conwy Park Run the morning of the final 😃 🏃 💪

A great event all round, even with a few hiccups along the way (bloody WiFi) and more squash court bookings have been taken at Le Sport Health & Fitness which is great for squash/sport participation in the area in general 🤗 just what we hoped for! 🙌

Big thanks to Bay of Colwyn Town Council for sanctioning this event (originally meant to be held in March 2020!!!) and for the support for our group to provide different events/activities in our little town of Rhôs on Sea 😊

Shame we couldn’t get any support from Squash Wales, maybe next time 💪

Frustrating day for us as we have had major issues with the live stream for this event. We have a mesh router connection issue and after spending 3+ hours on the phone to the internet company this morning we got nowhere 😔

Live scores are still working though and they’ll be a definite for the rest of the week, but for those who were looking forward to watching some live squash from the comfort of your homes we’re so so sorry 😣

After a couple of withdrawals yesterday we’ve still got a full draw for the Colwyn Classic 🙌 matches start tomorrow at 1pm and we have the PSA live scoring system set up for all matches and live streaming set up for the quarter finals onwards 😃

Not only will this benefit independent stores, but also might help someone win a bit of extra money over this particularly tricky time we’re all going through 🫶

to when we were planning our Cars and Coffee on the Prom Goes Large event 😢 🚘 ☕️ 🌊

We have so many plans for when we can travel freely around the country!

This group/page was set up to try and organise fun events in Rhos on Sea, showing off our tiny town 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 as much as possible 🤗

We haven’t disappeared! And we will update this page properly once we know what can happen in terms of planning events 👍

As we’re in North Wales and following the Welsh Lockdown traffic light system 🚦 we are still in full lockdown mode. We hope to be up to England’s status soon, so long as everyone stays home! 🏠

OUR NEXT EVENT 🏎🚙🚗🚓

We’ve teamed up with our friends who run Cars and Coffee on the Prom to host a ‘Cars and Coffee Goes Large’ event on Sunday 16th June - Father’s Day! 🙌

The entire length of the Cayley section of the prom in Rhos is being closed off, thanks to Colwyn BID 👍 and there should be approx 300 cars all coming to Rhos on Sea 🌊 😊

A fantastic family day out with a car themed children’s ride and prizes to be won throughout the day! 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦
