Was that the best Outcider Festival line-up of all time?? 🤩

It's not for us to say, but we know for sure that we saw some of the best performances of the last 10 years on both stages last weekend.

Not a poor performance all weekend. From Shearing Shed to open mic, Ag Shed to campfire singalongs, everyone brought their A+ game and blew us all away ❤

A special shout to 8 Kalacas for an incredible UK debut show, and for the brass Belgian behemoth of Brazzmatazz bringing their amazing show all the way across the channel.

But equal respect for each and every brilliant act, and they be... Lost property time!!!

Not too much left behind this year - which is incredible when you consider how many of you were there... and the state some of you were in :D

But we've got a couple of hoodies, a pair of pink Converse and sandals, a furry shawl, two scratched pairs of sunglasses, some jewellery and lots of discarded dignity.

If you want to claim the hip flasks and admit you were bringing alcohol into the arena then we are very keen to have a conversation with you :)

And finally, we found a decent phone that we're surprised no-one has noticed missing. We won't post a photo of it - please get in touch if you've lost one and we will establish if it is yours :)

We're off on holiday now for 10 days so nothing will get reunited until after then unless it's an absolute emergency (i.e. the phone).

Please DM us if you need to reclaim anything.

As the old saying goes... "if you know, you know" 🙂

What more can be said about Outcider Festival 2024 that you folks don't know already?

This was the perfect celebration of 10 years of music and mischief making. The culmination of a decade of organic, word-of-mouth organising and the belief that working and playing with your friends is the best way forwards.

Our hugest thanks to everyone who has attended this and any other Outciders. It's the people that make it so special, and we feel very privileged that so many tribes have decided to come together and make Fernhill Farm their home every August ❤

We must also pay homage to our incredible hosts Fernhill Farm - An Arcadian Place to Stay who took a chance on us and allowed us so much freedom, while always being on hand to help make things happen.

To our build, break, production and stewarding crew, who work so hard and in whom we place so much trust to make the event run smoothly and safely.

To our Shearing Shed sound team Mc audio and productions and Dave / Phil in the Ag Shed- simply the best in the business. Just ask the bands who play 😎

We are completely and genuinely overwhelmed right now.

Outcider Festival 2024 was so incredible we can't put it into words.

This photo does a pretty good job though! 🥰

A proper review will follow when we have the headspace to find the words.

But for now, our infinite gratitude to everyone who built, ran and populated that festival. The vibes were simply off the scale. This is how life should be lived.

OH NO! 😟

That old bu**er Covid is causing a nuisance again - 3 members of tonight's band The Great Malarkey have tested positive and will be unable to perform at Outcider tonight :(

That is a real shame and we wish them a super speedy recovery. We hope they'll be able to play at a future FBC shindig!

Plans are already underway for a fab replacement at very little notice. Please bear with us... 😎

Amongst the amazing music programme on stages tomorrow you can also indulge in the following fun...

10am - noon: TUK TUK SAFARI (sign up at the bottom of the live-in vehicle field)

11.30am - SPORTS DAY (assemble and join in at Curmudgeon's Corner)

12.30pm - PUNK ROCK KARAOKE - come and find Corinna in the Shearing Shed from 11.30pm to sign yourself up as punk rock legend!

5.15pm - PHOTO CALL for Outcider Veterans! If you were at the very first Outcider in 2014 then please assemble at the bar at 5.15pm for a group 'survivors' photo :D

And don't forget that you can sign up for the Sunday open mic session by getting your name on the white board in the Ag Shed, next to the Fernhill Cafe.

Blimey, Outcider Festival - if that was Thursday then Friday, Saturday and Sunday are gonna have to up their game :D

The atmosphere was really special for the opening day of our 10th anniversary special. Thanks for getting here early and getting the party started!

GOOD VIBES!!!!

This has been the best Outcider Festival set-up of all time (so far :D)

Fantastic effort from our volunteer crew and the Fernhill Farmers, plus great weather and finally, maybe, knowing what we are doing!

If there was a prize for the softest, nicest smelling festival moshpit then we'd definitely win first prize with this woodchip and pine effort 😎

We really are buzzing for the weekend - can't wait to see y'all down on the farm!!!!

Gates open Thursday 1st August at 14:00. First band on at 17:30.

Please arrive before 21:00 on any day otherwise we cannot guarantee your entry onto the site.

Please remember the following key things!

* Ensure you have a copy of the e-ticket from whoever made your booking. Show it at the Box Office on arrival. Keep your wristband on all weekend.

* You must have a valid ticket for every day you wish to attend, and every vehicle must have either a parking pass or live-in vehicle pass.

* No pets or U18s.

* You may bring a reasonable amount of your own food and drink for personal consumption on the campsite but only food and drink purchased at OutCider may be consumed in the festival area. Personal alcohol limits on entry to campsite are 12 cans beer/cider or 3 litres of wine/cider (boxes only). Supporting the bar is vital to keeping ticket and bar prices down ❤️

* No glass will be allowed onto the site – this includes bottled drinks and food jars/containers.

* Re-entry to the festival over the weekend is permitted but not encouraged due to the single track entrance to the site. At peak times leaving the site for re-entry may be denied on Health & Safety grounds. Re-entering the site with personal alcohol and food supplies is not permitted. Please consider whether leaving the site is strictly necessary as all of your food, drink, entertainment and social needs are provided on site!

It's the same few rules as ever - thank you in advance for understanding and respecting them 😘

GIS A LIFT MATE!

We have a couple of Outcider Festival performers, and one dedicated festival attendee, looking for lifts from Bristol to Fernhill Farm.

Could you please DM us if you are passing through Bristol and can offer a space in your car for one of these pick ups? It would be a lovely thing!

THURSDAY - 16.30 from Temple Meads train station

FRIDAY - 10.00am from Temple Meads train station

FRIDAY - flexible time to suit you! From South Bristol, location TBA.

This is also a good time to remind car / van drivers of the Clean Air Zone operating in Bristol city centre. Please check the website to see if you are compliant, or see what areas to avoid!

Note: The entrance to Temple Meads station is within the CAZ. However you can pick up passengers from behind the station, near the Marble Factory music venue, just a couple of minutes walk away :)

B3135 is closed just after the Ploughboy Inn. There is a small diversion - turn left at Ploughboy if coming from Shepton/Radstock. Then next right and right again and you will be back on track and pass the castle of comfort as normal. It is signposted and will add 5 mins to your journey!

** IMPORTANT INFO FOR LIVE-IN VEHICLES**

Please read and digest, as these are hard and fast rules 🙂

1.) You must book the correct pitch size for your live-in vehicle. Standard 6M x 4M pitch £35
Large 8M x 6M pitch £55

2.) Your vehicle and ALL OF YOUR EQUIPMENT (awning, chairs, etc) must sit within this space, so upgrade to a larger pitch if it's on the tight side!

3.) You will be sited by our stewards upon arrival. If you wish to camp next to a friend's live-in vehicle, you must arrive together!

4.) Tent camping and live-in vehicles are in separate parts of the same big field.

5.) There is NO FACILITY FOR CHEMICAL WATE DISPOSAL. Fernhill Farm - An Arcadian Place to Stay is a regenerative farm with a natural wet system that handles their waste water. It is not able to take your chemical waste. You will need to bring enough capacity to take your waste water home, or use our ample toilet facilities including flushing loos!
