Team Congleton is a successful community programme launched in 2009 to encourage sporting and cultural activities throughout the town. Team Congleton wants to involve and motivate the people of congleton through a series of special 2012 celebratory events to maintain our place in Olympic history. eying a special celebratory message from the Mayor of Much Wenlock (the birthplace of the modern Olympics!) to his Congleton Counterpart. Thereafter, Team Congleton will launch a succession of 'Olympic themed' activities designed to attract individuals, teams, schools, societies and cultural organisations. Our ambition is to create a fun, competitive spirit and establish a community bond with the auspicious events taking place in London.
