Sandy had her feet trimmed today, and she did so well! Despite being kept in due to the snowy weather, she stood beautifully for Megan Birbeck Equine Podiatrist DEP MEPA and handled the session well.

Keeping her indoors has been necessary with all the snow around, but it can sometimes make trimming a bit trickier since may have pent-up energy. Thankfully, Sandy was calm and mostly cooperative throughout the process. Her feet are now looking great and ready for when the snow clears, and she can get back outside!

Although we associate donkeys with the festive season, the British winter is a challenging time for them and the people who care for them. 🤔

Without adequate shelter and hardstanding, donkeys can be prone to a range of skin and foot issues, so it's vital they have somewhere to escape from the elements. ⛈️

🌟🎄 This morning, I had the absolute pleasure of visiting Brockwell Court Care Home with Sandy, the sweetest donkey around! 🥰🫏Together, we brought a little extra Christmas joy to the wonderful residents.

Seeing the smiles, laughter, and warmth Sandy brought to everyone’s day was truly heartwarming. It’s amazing how much happiness animals can bring, especially during the festive season. ❤️✨
