Despite a soggy day, what had the best time at Lauren and Dan’s wedding on Saturday. What a fab couple and all the guests were super friendly (and extremely happy in spite of the weather). We were fortunate enough to see the ceremony too, as it had been relocated to just in front of us (again due to the weather). We don’t normally get to see that bit, but this one was special.

Event no two for this weekend. Following on from a summer works party in Great Yarmouth yesterday (they must like us as we keep getting invited back), today we’re at just about set up in time for Holly and Shane’s wedding later.

You see this dude in the photo? This is Daniel, who plays a hugely important role in the success of SGG. He loads/ unloads, sets up, Looks after our guests extremely well and is also responsible for a large quantity of the food pics and videos posted here. I rarely get the opportunity to take pics as I’m too busy making sure the food is perfect, so thank you Daniel, you’re the SGG Star Man. On top of that he’s a bloody good singer and although I’ve never heard him do a David Bowie impression, he does a mean Rod Stewart!

Just had a lovely review from Nicky and Jacks wedding on Saturday. We had a blast and some fab guests to chat to at various points throughout our time there. We arrived as the caterers and left with some new friends.

Chuffed to say that we’re now on the suppliers list for Ormesby Manor Go check them out, it’s a fabulous wedding venue that only has top line suppliers. That’s why I’m so pleased (and grateful) that they approached me to be added to their list.

We had a lovely surprise in the post today. Such a lovely couple to work with and they even gave us an anniversary card as ours was the day before their wedding (we’d mentioned it when they first booked and had a tasting with us).

We love a wedding and yesterday’s trip over to King’s Lynn didn’t disappoint with not only a lovely couple, but a couple of rather special trucks too. Very fitting that we were there with some low and slow bbq. Huge congratulations to Helen and Danny. We got there on the end in spite of covid holding up thinks a bit.

Out with some biker friends today and stopped off at The Finchingfield Lion for lunch. Proper offset smoker on site and a delicious Brisket topped Pizza. Highly recommended. https://www.facebook.com/thefinchingfieldlion

We get to see some pretty awesome stuff while working. Back at Woodbridge again today for a spot of corporate catering. One of the chaps here brought his car in to put on display. Apparently it’s running a Pinto engine and probably weighs about as much as Dame Edna’s handbag, so should go pretty well. Oh, and we’re doing ribs and brisket for 100 guests.

Our setup for today at Chaucer Barn and some of our rather yummy Burnt Ends. Fabulous venue and the prefect spot to get married. Massive congratulations to Nathalie and Joe, childhood sweethearts since they were thirteen and such a lovely couple.

The SGG team headed south down to yesterday for a significant birthday party. Needless to say the food went down a treat with loads of lovely comments. The brisket in the pic was so good it made me do a happy dance (yes, really). In other news, our star performer earned his badge and mug. Thanks for your sterling work (as usual) Daniel.

Brisket, Mac Bombs and Pepper Poppers from today. We had a fab time with lots of lovely compliments about the food. No dessert pics, but they were devoured pretty quickly
