Thank you to everyone who has come to our pop ups, booked us for a party, visited us at an event or shared the word about us. We cannot thank you enough; I feel very lucky to be able to do what we do!
I have loved seeing families spending time together and playing. It has been great welcoming new families to Whistle-Tot Lane as well as seeing children grow over the year.
It has been a busy 2024 for us and it has definitely been a juggling act at times. We have been very privileged to collaborate with some fantastic businesses @letsplaypeach , @geminisoftplay and @trainmasterleicestershire as well as some brilliant organizations @leicestermuseums, @chesterhouseestate, @lamport_hall and Leicestershire Libraries.
It's now time for us to take some time off social media and spend time with our family and friends over the Christmas break. We hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a great New Year!
We can't wait to see you in 2025!
LAMPORT HALL AND GARDENS
Something a little different from Whistle-Tot Lane yesterday. We attended their Victorian Heritage Day and couldn't have asked for better weather.
We had a Victorian kitchen, school and post office as well as a stables with Veg Patch. There was lots of fantastic playing with children of a variety ages - a strict teacher, delivering lessons to her family, a post master delivering parcels on the horse and hard working Victorian's doing the cleaning at home.
We had a lovely day meeting new people and creating something a little bit different. Plus the venue was absolutely beautiful, definitely worth a visit if you are local.
We will also be offering our Victorian kit for hire for schools so they can create their own Victorian role play corner.

FROM IDEAS ON PAPER TO REALITY!
I love coming up with our station and theme ideas and this one came about after we got our house frame.
I wanted to create a beach hut which would still be open to allow play to flow. I drew an idea on paper, spoke with my mum about how we could get the fabric to work and then spent a few hours searching beach huts on Pinterest to find those little details.
I loved how it has all come together and can't wait to see how the children interact with it during our holidays sessions.
We are always looking for new stations ideas and love creating things from scratch! It is very handy having someone who is great at sewing in the family as well as having a carpenter as your husband.

One and half hours condensed into 40ish seconds! If only it was that quick in real life!
I did have a slight panic when I couldn't find a trolley, but I managed to find one hidden away after a hunt.
There is certainly an art to loading the van and Rob definitely has it down better than me. But I managed to get it all in so it's a win!
We have an outdoor party set up this weekend and next week is the start of our holiday pop ups in Syston and Market Harborough.
A double session weekend! Thank you to everyone who joined us in Market Harborough and Wigston, we had a fantastic time!
There were some fantastic helpers finding our WANTED animals, all were caught and taken to the police station. We also had some brilliant pizza making, delivering of parcels and tower building although these were quickly knocked down!
Our next rescue pop ups are in the Easter holidays at Gilmorton and New Lubbesthorpe.

Thank you @leicestermuseums for having us for your Popping to the Shops Exhibition at Newarke Houses museum.
We loved recreating a Narborough Road shopping experience for all the families that attended. There were definitely lots of full trolleys and bags. I enjoyed finding all the past and present shops for our post office deliveries.
It was fantastic joining both @storyimaginory_southleics and @storyimaginory_melton_rutland . The interactive storytelling was fantastic, all the children were enthralled. I wonder if there is a shop with bears, mice and chimpanzees 😅
It was lovely to meet lots of new families too, to show them all about Whistle-Tot Lane.

Today was the first of our Halloween themed pop ups!
We had fantastic potions being made, plenty of sweet treats brought from the shop and lots of flying on brooms (although often the wrong way round 😄).
There were also some very cute dragons too!!
Thank you everyone who joined us today at Gilmorton. We loved seeing all your Halloween outfits.
We can't wait for our next ones in Wigston, Market Harborough and Roots at Thorpe Farm.

A brilliant but busy 2 days.
Two days of a Whistle-Tot taster set up for families to enjoy at Desford Scarecrow Festival . Thank you to everyone who stopped by to play especially those who braved the rain on Saturday. We love this festival, so much so we are back tomorrow for a family day out.
Plus we also helped a little girl celebrate her 3rd birthday!🎉🎈 Rob did his first solo set up and I think we can agree it looked fab. We hope they all had a fantastic time!
