LAUREN X GRAEME: The non-conventional wedding in Leicester

This delightful pair didn’t just plan a wedding - they completely tore up the rule book! No white dress, no huge floral displays, no traditions that didn’t feel right for them. And honestly…it was perfect. ❤️

From saying “I do” at Leicester Town Hall to celebrating with their nearest and dearest at the Y Theatre (a venue super close to their hearts), every part of the day was filled with love, laughter, and just a whole lot of THEM. No forced traditions, just pure authenticity. ✨ One of my fave moments? Stopping off at 200 Degrees Coffee Shop (the spot where they had their very first date) to grab some cute shots. ☕📸

And THAT is what it’s all about - doing your wedding, your way!

I cannot express enough the importance of finding a wedding photographer that you feel comfortable around. I hear so many horror stories from couples that hated theirs! 🙄

For LGBTQ+ couples, I know that sometimes there is a whole other level of uncomfortability when planning a wedding and looking for suppliers. So while it’s not paramount that your photographer is also part of your community, it does bring with it a certain level of understanding, allowing you to feel at ease in front of the camera, resulting in some epic photos from your big day!

If you’re looking for an LGBTQ+ allied / gay photographer for your wedding, I’d love to hear from you! 🏳️‍🌈
