2025 is off to a cracking start with one wedding and one EPIC all-day job in the bag already! And it’s only the 10th of January! 🤩
The rest of the year is shaping up nicely too and I’m really looking forward to everything I’ve got lined up so far.

I cannot express enough the importance of finding a wedding photographer that you feel comfortable around. I hear so many horror stories from couples that hated theirs! 🙄

For LGBTQ+ couples, I know that sometimes there is a whole other level of uncomfortability when planning a wedding and looking for suppliers. So while it’s not paramount that your photographer is also part of your community, it does bring with it a certain level of understanding, allowing you to feel at ease in front of the camera, resulting in some epic photos from your big day!

If you’re looking for an LGBTQ+ allied / gay photographer for your wedding, I’d love to hear from you! 🏳️‍🌈

I go to a lot of weddings. There are trends and suits and colour schemes that I see a lot of. I also have a terrible memory. But there are some things that are just seared in my brain. Some are seen, some are heard, but in this case, it was a double whammy…

I don’t do a lot of church weddings anymore, it’s just the way the industry has unfolded in the last few years, especially since Covid. However, if I do, I can always expect to find the vicar waiting in a corner, ready to tell me the 800 rules to guarantee we don’t get the best for our couples. That will be pretty much the extent of our conversation.

This day was somewhat different…

Never have I ever watched a vicar jollying through a cemetery with a steaming cup of coffee, a huge smile on his face, living his best life.

Never would I have also expected this conversation with a man of the cloth…

Let's be honest, for most of us, being in front of a camera is pretty weird and kind of daunting. And I totally get it, I'm MUCH happier behind the lens for sure!

But one thing about me is that I really don't take myself too seriously and I'm soooooooo not here for stuffy, awkward photos that make everyone feel uncomfortable AF! It's your big day, you call the shots (no pun intended 🙈)

With my Full Day Package, I throw in a pre-wedding shoot. Not only will you get some cute bonus photos, it's a great opportunity for you to get familiar with me and the camera 🫶

I met this awesome, mythical creature at a wedding a couple of years back… Despite being in each other's company for just an hour or two, we had an instant connection; a meeting of minds, humour & probably mischievousness...

However, what should have been possibly, a new lifelong friend / partner in crime was to be quickly marred, as she was leaving the delights of the Midlands to venture down Safff (South)! The Brighton Bohemia was calling…

When an old friend called to say they were getting married down in Brighton this year, in a rather magical and somewhat different-to-the-norm ceremony, I instantly thought of Jess. She HAD to do it. Luckily, they agreed I was right, and two weeks ago she smashed it once more…

If you’re looking for an inclusive, powerful, emotive, calming, and all round rockstar storyteller to lead your ceremony, look no further. No-one else in this world will be trusted with mine…

BECKY X LUCY | The epically fun, festival-themed wedding in Market Harborough, Leicestershire

Throwing it back to this absolute corker of a wedding from last year!

On a scorchingly hot day in Market Harborough, the ceremony took place in the woods with Becky’s brother as the celebrant. It was a short affair with the hugest confetti line I’ve EVER seen, all the way through the woods for the couple's exit. Then there were drinks in abundance, along with a WALL OF CRISPS! {loved that}

Afterwards, guests were taken by tractor to the reception venue - a large marquee overlooking the lake. The pride / festival theme continued with a number of hanging lanterns and lots of props for fun photos. The drinking began with Absolute Jukebox Duo providing chilled background vibes, until the end of the casual bbq dinner.

There were powerful, emotive and hilarious speeches from Becky’s dad and the maid of honour, before the night really got started and carnage ensued. Amazing music came from the Fufu Sailors; my favourite wedding band to date.

Just THE best day! 🫶
