500 likes and square have to put this on the slice house menu in town 👀
This was a rocket of a curve ball at the weekends battle.
Low & slow pulled chicken tikka, smashed onion bhaji, mint & cucumber yoghurt, and finished with a mango drizzle.

Bronze for at the 2024 ARGIE BAHJI hungry games🥉
Completing this year’s podium! we must add that all vendors came our swinging with incredible dishes. We’re the real winners here having so much curry to tackle in one weekend.
Our curry fest once again smashes previous records as the word continues to spread. Roll on 2025!

2 WEEKS TO NAAN!
We were recently asked ‘what is it?’ 😂
We forget that not everyone knows what a Food Battle is.
If you’re new to the dance you’re in for a treat - at heart we throw street food celebrations that orbit a specific genre of food. Battle of the Burger is self explanatory, The Argie Bhaji showcases our passion for Indian food! And how it influences beyond the genre. Hence the ‘Curry Is Life’ motto.

The battles boast over 15 individual traders serving a host of treats, authentic, & contemporary dishes. Plus there’s always something for the kids (like fries & pizza). The team have families, and friends with little people - the battles have been a great way to introduce younger folk to new foods, without the commitment of a full restaurant experience.

Above all else it’s about the vibes, getting people together in an awesome location, to meet, eat, and drink.
Entry is completely free, and we want to keep it that way!
The final event of the year is set for November 8th & 9th.
Both dates from 12 midday (so throw that sick-day in 😂)

A little walk down memory lane back to our 2016 ARGIE BHAJI at the palace ♥️
We can’t believe we’re knocking on the door of 10 years boasting “Curry Is Life” in Newcastle. The train rolls on.
More vendors, more amazing dishes, and more delicious beers to sample.
*No fireworks this year - so have no fear if you’re planning on bringing the pooch.
8th & 9th November - both days from midday.
